Aw... No one's feeding the troll! Here's some kibble:

Nero's obsession with Cid could very well be a hate-crush, but honestly, Cid doesn't seem like he's reciprocating. Pretty much nothing but bemused bewilderment, no matter WHAT Nero does to try to make Cid-Sempai notice him.

Could be gay, but one-sided, imo.

They ended up getting old together in the Bad ending :P
