Get rid of ClickandBuy

Unfortunately, certain areas and regions get limited access to payment methods. Take Australia, for example; we can't even get crysta. The only method we're allowed to pay is via Click and Buy -pukes-. We can't even use Paypal, Ultimate Pay (or whatever it was called) to send money through. I wouldn't mind so much if we had to option for Crysta, but having only one option, Click and Buy, is not very appealing.

Some regions can't even use Click and Buy, making it impossible for them to play.

We had topics about before, but since they're finally charging us, we definitely need a response or more action. Click and Buy just isn't what we players want. We want more options, safer options, and for more regions to gain fairer access to secure methods of paying.

They wanted me to transfer $5.99 to some bank account they gave me an account number for when I tried to sign up for ffxiv originally, saying I owed them money. I do not trust them at all.

Agreed. I don't feel comfortable having my monetary information go through ClickandBuy, and there's really no real reason why SE should continue using them.

I had to spend hours trying to set up a ClickandBuy account, because it refused to accept my postal code and other random shit. I don't understand why a direct VISA/Mastercard payment option would be so out of place. Just about everyone else uses it..

Agreed! ClickandBuy is the only option in my region and it sucks. Please make other payment options available globally...

Could'nt agree more with this thread, I actualy had a friend give up on the game right at account making process because click and buy gave him problems.

SE please add a "normal" means of paying for subscription that doesn't alienate people or makes paying to play a huge hassle.
Just a simple credit card subscription is what the majority of the bigger MMOs have atm, if you aspire for XIV to be succesfull with 2.0 etc you simply can't have such a poor payment system.

If nothing is done then you WILL loose a lot of customers due to this.

An additional method of credit card payment is meant to be implemented soon. Based on the timing announcements, it looks like it will be in time for 1.20/pay2play, like some grand plan of implementation.

But again, re-iterating that ClickandBuy sucks to many people like this little Australian and the alternative MUST be implemented and available in time.

I fail o see why (like many have staed above) we cannot pay them directly through credit/debit card, or paypal. Even pre-paid game cards would be a reasonable option. SE, please make a statement regarding this situation before you commence charges!!!

The funny thing is, japan already has all these payment options we are asking for IIRC. I guess they just don't want to store all these credit card #s and personal info due to all the security breaches that have happened.
