    Suggestion: Leap attack for Ifrit-Egi

I know Ifrit-Egi deal good damage when target stand still. But when big trash pull, a lot of add encounter or the fight that must move boss often make Ifirt-Egi deal damage lower. That make most summoner choose Garuda-Egi more than Ifrit-Egi because it easily to control in many situation and no losing damage when change target or boss have movement. Can we replace some Ifrit-Egi skill for leap attack CD? I suggest "Crimson Cyclone" should do same effect like "Shoulder Tackle" but use "Plunge" animation. This will help Ifrit-egi move faster when changing target or tank must move boss from current position but still has some restriction from CD that make it can't use freely like Garuda-Egi ranged attack. This will make summoner must control Ifrit-Egi more than before too. For Titan-Egi, it has place in solo content already. It has very high enmity generation for taking trash out of summoner easily. They don't need this move.

Moreover, if it is possible give more DoT for Ifrit will help damage losing problem when have a lot of movement too.

I guess you mean in situations where like in the new dungeons, when the Bomb spawns, while Garuda has to only move a small amount and can start spitting at the mob, Ifrit has to get very close?

I always thought our Egi's should have an elemental DoT, like Burn, Choke etc..but maybe that is way too much. Don't get me wrong I really love my SMN I am very happy right now lol.

Yes, I fully endorse this. If Ifrit-Egi is supposed to be the melee dps pet, then turning Crimson Cyclone into a gap closer would do it justice.

Elemental damage means absolutely nothing in this game.

Nope, but they still label things after their elements. like Wind Blade, still that's not the entire point. It's more about giving them a DOT for the extra damage, but just the names. They could call it Gerbil Sneeze, it's just the name.

Giving Ifrit that might be a good idea, I guess the cool down would have to be a bit low though. Otherwise we loose an ability for a long casting time that reduces the gap in some of the time rather than a fix that works all of the time. It would be up every 40s, and we would have to hold onto it in order to time it right. That would mean every 40s that we would normally use the ability whether it's for the Stun or not, we have to hold onto it.

If you do have something like shoulder tackle or such, they still have to be within a certain range. I don't know about MNK but on DRK between the time I could be hitting him and the time I can use my gap closer, a reach + movement speed would achieve the same thing. Don't get me wrong, when I'm running to a mob to pull and I see a DRG / MNK right near me I'm hitting that button to beat them to their Jump / Tackle lol so it's a nice thing.

Just saying, looking at that situation how much would holding off using a 110 potency attack every..2 minutes hurt? Would it be noticeable? To me, most likely not. To the number crunchers, maybe? If so then that means enhancing potency for the other pets and their abilities, and that means balancing. Then also if it works for Ifrit they will start wanting it for Titan for off hand and making things equal purposes. Not like I would go about all of that, but there are those who go that in depth and if we're trying to be fun happy go lucky super squishy huggles time for everyone, have to consider those extra special wonderful mouthfuls of joy too!
