Unusual Lag Spikes?

I have been hitting a few lag spikes, got extremely bad in AV last night. Would move out of the AOE, it would cast, move back then get hit with the mass of debuffs. Was really close to quitting but luckily stabilized enough to finish. During the day hours it seems to be fine but as soon as we get the evening hours (bout 5-6pm mountain time) the lag starts.

Usually I'll experience lag spikes just before a patch. Lately, I've been experiencing them post patch as well. And usually in the evening locally. Today could be due to some gnarly weather along California's coast (saw some gulls inland, and I live in California's southern central valley). And it is windy outside. I'm just going to chalk it up to outside forces beyond my control.

I am getting pretty bad lag too for the past 3-4 days now, and it usually occurs around NA primetime. :/

Started again tonight around 8:00 pm est time. Comcast :-/ It usually goes away around 10:00 pm est.

Focus on North America, switch to different industries.

Just now, Retail volume was up 16% over norm, Gaming up 27%, Broadcast up 46%, Social Media up 25%...and here is the REAL kick in the teeth:

Started again tonight around 8:00 pm est time. Comcast :-/ It usually goes away around 10:00 pm est.

Unfortunately, that's around the time many groups raid, which is what really bites about this whole situation.

This seems to be effecting a ton of people and mostly with Comcast customers from what I can tell on the subreddit forums and here. Myself as well as several FC mates have been having severe lag issues after 8pm est EVERY f'in night for the past week!

It's getting a little absurd and it would be nice to see SE at least acknowledge the known issue. I play several online games and FF14 is the ONLY one giving me lag/latency issues recently, so I know it's something SE will need to resolve with the ISP's. Maybe if they wouldn't have chosen the lowest bidder for their herp-derp archaic server tech we wouldn't have these random problems all the time! SMH

I, for one, have done my part running trace routes and providing the feedback to my ISP (comcast), but that's about the only thing we can do...other than just un-sub, which I will likely be doing before the next billing cycle if this isn't addressed soon!
