List your R50 Ifrit strategy suggestions

Ok my LS fought him for the first time today (I know, we sooooo behind) and between him regening, AoEing we couldnt figure out what the hell to do. Hard to put enough damage on him to outpace his regen. Please list any/all suggestions on what you find works best.

Keep an eye on this thread over the next few weeks. Richardd and his crew are trying to help us out. Last I heard there have only been 3 confirmed kills (2 JP, 1 US) so there is a limited pool of people to even give you this information. The thread I linked is your best bet for a while.

Appreciate the info but was wondering if there was anything else substantial besides the same BG info I been seeing everywhere. We got him down to about 15% lastnight. Most annoying thing is it genuinely feels bugged. Many times myself, or a pt member would have run way outside an eruption crack, and still get hit. I dont know if this is lag or what.

The server takes its sweet time to update your location, so it's definitely a kind of lag. I suppose it's not connection delay but rather the server just doesn't calculate your location frequently enough.

Ifrit never uses the same skill back-to-back so you need to be patient and stock TP to fire a big weapon skill when the time is right. Due to animation locks, you have to be mobile 99% of the time.

Also, look for patterns of the plumes in phase V (after Hellfire). There might be certain positions where you can tank Ifrit and never get hit by plumes......
