After reading the gamer escape interview (specificly the chocobo part) and now this thread I'm thinking it would be cool if eventually they added a wyvern companion the same way they are doing with chocobos(and maybe other types, wolf for war?)..not making drg a pet class but still having the optional wyvern pet/companion. They are already going to so this with chocos why not a wyvern

Personally, as long as the Wyvern doesn't gimp DRG like it did in XI- I'd be ok with it.

I would love to see dragon breath. In the new interview he talk about dragoons having the powers of dragons!

I too am glad they aren't giving Dragoon a pet...would rather not have it gimp the dragoon. I am going to level my Lancer next ^^ Hopefully they will give us some cool kinda jump ability.

Where did you hear about the pet system? Maybe I just missed, since it seems recently there are updates happening everyday about the updates coming to FFXIV.

If you go to the v2.0 page scroll down to the bottom then click on system and content list, right there on the first page under enemies it will say new summoning and new taming abilities for certain jobs.

just a thought, kain was the biggest turn coat in FF history. he could never decide what side he was on. i'm good, i'm bad, no i'm not i'm good. joking i'm bad really, i got sick of buying him weapons. still the times he was good he was great to have in your team

I felt Kain was pretty mediocre honestly, until he became a Holy Dragoon in After Years and had more at his disposal. But I think Dragoon job in this game will rock.
