healer vit points

I can dps with higher damage , whispering dawn is increased and overall throw out heals more quickly. I tried the crit thing and went from like 10% crits to 15% whick imo doesn't benefit from quicker heals n increased hots/dots. Can solo heal Alex normal without running into mana issues and all trials bar thordan ex and expert dungeons.

Your vit build isn't clever, it's just very sub par and intentionally non potent. You don't even need vit for any of the casual content you seem to be doing. I find it very hard to believe you can solo heal any of the previous ex primals with that build. It would behoove you to use a hymn and put most of your points if not all of them into mind, for a start.

Detriment? No wipes and I dps successfully , sustain a minimum 600dps , the duties over with quicker ?? I've seen scholars in full eso 200 set who don't dps but cant keep up healing either, I wasn't aware speeding things up was considered detrimental :s ok ill equip best mind gear I have ^^ thanks for the tips

Hmm, if it works, it works. I think there was some debate about skill speed but crit eventually beat out spellspeed simply by proc chance.

They did change the crit formula so it's not as powerful at higher ilvls, so I'd play around with a combination of crit and spellspeed maybe. Spellspeed is still very underwhelming even on a class like WHM where it was intended for. You don't have to follow the meta blindly, but I wouldn't go too far out of my way as to equip all VIT either (i know you only have 1 VIT ring, which is fine for survivability).

The VIT Attributes is quirky but it's like having a SMN main healing as a SCH (actually better since more HP is generally better than INT that you never use anyway). You will probably do fine regardless, but it's not optimal for cutting-edge healing. There's this mentality where as long as you can stay alive, a healer can bring you back up to full HP (so actual healing value is appreciated more).

It is known that SCH is much more passable with a low MND than WHM or AST, so I can believe you didn't wipe anyone. I would take a look at your fellow healers though; especially in 8man content where your healing and dps matter. Many Scholars DPS the entire fight (except throwing in heals at crucial bursts which don't necessarily crit either),so it's not like a good healer or static group can't compensate for a full VIT scholar, but it's just a question of how efficient your build is at balancing DPS and Heals and whether your party plays with that quirk in mind.

There's a scholar in my fc with bis gear and can in one day crit loads n the next crit never. RNG isn't on my side at all haha I once casted out 30 adlos n only got 2 crits, n that luck is pretty much consistent for me >.<

I don't think people realize that for a healer, the weapon accounts for almost 75% of your health power. Just strip all your gear and you can see your healing is still very high with weapon alone. It's not THAT farfetched to solo-heal a primal with all VIT accessories.

Have you been grouped with bad tanks that you are scared of your survival that you put all your bonus points in VIT? I'm not judging or anything you can play how you want I'm just trying to understand the logic behind this. With the way CRIT works now I can understand playing with the secondary stats like SS and DET but VIT just seems like a waste especially as your bonus points.

I just like the idea of been able to take a few more hits or bigger hits like the 3 orbs in a4, means dps n off tank can keep doin there thing while I only require my fairy to top me off. My stats currently are:

Crit directly interacts with scholar skills, spell speed doesnt. Its that simple with the spellspeed vs crit that has come up in this thread.

As for vit, its only of any use to stack this higher than you should if you are unable to get out of aoes or react to boss attacks that hit you but can be avoided. However non of this should be happening. Mind is you primary stat as a healer, it increases your healing as well as your dps in cleric stance. Vitality does neither, it is a dead stat after a point. Stacking mind makes your helaing, shielding and dps as a sch far more efficient and far more powerful. Vitality doesnt.

I assume you are talking about alexander normal? I did this place as SCH not even at i180, and was able to manage to deal with one full set of orbs myself without outside healing. Its a matter of utilising sch skill set to be able to do this, so this is a very very very moot point you bring up about stacking vit for this. Its simply not needed here at all.
