It'll be Diadem related. A big part of it anyway.

I would say this is pretty accurate. For the most part, the amount of work one would need to put into to get the weapon was about right. The upgrades that followed, were extremely out of balance. No one really bitched about the original relic did they? (up to i90. Maybe at worst someone was sad they had to choose because they could only get the i80 version but... that's about it.)
It's the stupid grind they put after the awesome quest for the original relics that people hated.
How about the item that begins the relic will drop from odin or behemoth fate? Like atmas, you have to keep killing him to get it?
Sounds like it might work right? :P
Next step involves running satasha normal for a 1% chance from last boss, but it only counts if you were there for the whole run. Joining a in-progress won't work. And it's like atma, so need 12 different ones. Oh, and they randomly drop the different ones, you need the full set and... doubles can drop.
Or we'll just do the 2.0 relic styled steps all over again for 3.0How about the item that begins the relic will drop from odin or behemoth fate? Like atmas, you have to keep killing him to get it?

Hopefully the quest line won't be as grindy as light farming. Hopefully they learned their lesson with the first relic.
I think there was some complaining about it being the same ilvl as raid weapons or something, but for actually getting the weapon the i80 was pretty good...and i90 was just too easy (not that I'm complainin about that). No one really bitched about the original relic did they? Actually, there was a fair amount of bitching that the relic weapons could even go to i90 if I remember correctly. No one really bitched about the original relic did they? (up to i90. That's the whole reason the Allagan weapons were made to be i95.
Same here. I thought about getting my 2.0 relic, but decided not to because I would be missing out on the grind for the new relics. Cant wait! ^^
Lots of whining about how hard Titan Hard was originally as well from what I remember, because dat latency checkNo one really bitched about the original relic did they? (up to i90. Maybe at worst someone was sad they had to choose because they could only get the i80 version but... that's about it.)

I'm actually hoping for a similar quest like the original. Throw in a fight or two exclusive to the quest, have you fight the latest whatever's, do the latest content and so on... instead of go farm fates, play with RNG in previous patch dungeons and that. After the original stage sure, throw the higher level "time for power" pieces, just not some overkill stuff. No one really bitched about the original relic did they? (up to i90. But, seeing as the original base quest was okay and had at least some original stuff and relevance to the up-to-date content, that won't happen.
