To the tank that got vote kicked out of Fractal at the last boss

Sorry bro, I voted no but the healer was holding the party hostage so I couldn't start the fight when the prompt came up. You were totally in the right though, you shouldn't have to deal with impatient dps pulling huge packs when you're obviously gearing up after warning them multiple times. We ended up 3-manning the last boss so maybe that's not the first time that's happened.

To that tank, I'm sorry that happened. Holding enmity can be really tough right now, especially against well-geared players if you're new to 60. And especially since these instances aren't iLvl synced or anything, there is nothing keeping overgeared players from plowing ahead without you. People will say "don't worry about holding enmity - if they pull off you, they can take it" while completely ignoring the fact that holding enmity is a tank's job, and it's part of the gameplay that we enjoy. It really sucks when we do everything right and everything that we're supposed to, but are unable to do that job and enjoy ourselves. I remember being a fresh 60 and trying to compete with people 30 iLvls higher than me for aggro. I couldn't in some cases, and it sucked.

If you're looking for the best way to make sure you can hold enmity, save up for the 170 or the 200 weapon, and make that the first thing you buy. If that doesn't work, buy Slaying trinkets until you can hold hate, and only then start worrying about your the left side of your gear (and your shield if you're a PLD).

I will say to hang in there, though. It gets better as you gear, and eventually you'll be able to run those places without any fear or worry.

The sad part is that you 3 manned the last boss, which means the vote kick was not only rude but actually slowed the group down even more by messing up limit break since you didn't get a replacement. In general kicking tanks is dumb.

Too much people are going to df and expect to be fast, and expect everybody to be already well geared... when it's not that, we can expect insult and vote kick.
DF is for everybody not only elitist jerks, if you wanna be sure to get fast, run with friends ... if you don't have the times to get with new players don't go in DF, or even don't play to the game... if you are short in time, you should not play if your time is precious, don't blame others
Anyway idk why i say that, i am pretty sure players like that is not reading the forum.

Hey man, that's legit, you wouldn't be in the party if those people didn't que together. If those 2 people don't like the way its going they can kick whoever they want. Likewise the 3rd player if they didn't agree is totally able to leave. lol

I party with my wife all the time, I think out of the hundreds of runs we have done, we have only had to kick someone twice, first guy had a real attitude (Third guy agreed), second guy was afk. Playstyle/attitude conflict is real. I don't want to get stuck with an A-hole because kick requires everyone but one member to click, that would suck. Luckily as I said this doesn't happen often.

Personally I have never been kicked from a dungeon and it always surprises me that so many people run into that.

Rude to do it on the last boss though, since they have clearly delt with the player the whole run and the 2 man are just being a dicks at that point.

With that said, if you are stuck with a group that you don't like what they are doing and they kick you, thats a freaking blessing, otherwise you have to eat the 30 (Which personally I don't mind, I'll go eat something quick and do some fates.)

I am of the opinion that per-form parties should not be able to vote kick anyone. The ability to bring the people you want should be control enough of the group. Leave vote kicks for the people who have no control of who they get grouped with.

That makes no sense, if a premade came in and they dont' like the randoms why do they need to be stuck with them? That's just dumb. If you ARE the random you can leave it's not a big deal, or ask to be kicked (oh wait, you couldn't because you don't want them to be able to) And like I said previously it is a blessing if you get kicked since you don't have to eat the timer. In the situation described in the OP though, I agree that it was a dick move.

I don't understand the logic of you wanting people to be stuck with people they are not enjoying playing with. Why should they be obligated to run through with someone they are not getting along with or don't like their playstyle?

2/3 is a majority rule on the fate of a fourth person simple as that, it doesn't matter if they are bias, friends, brothers, long lost cousins or complete strangers.
