So, you want to pay for an elitist feel that you were there before it became popular?

Lyndis said it best already, but I'm going to respond simply because I dislike your attempts at downgrading my statement to mean that I want to pay to be elite (that can only be earned). What I am paying for is the chance to participate in helping SE grow the game into what it should have been from the start. The special titles or gears are things I think SE should grant the ones who stayed and paid (it's the least they can do as a thank you).

What about those of us who drudged through the crap over the last year, spending our valuable time trying to help them make the game better. What, just because we weren't paying means we aren't anything?

Ya money is definitely what it boils down to in mmo's. And at least they made it free2play and apologized profusely. They did what any respectable company would do with a flagship title like Final Fantasy.

It's not like they just said "ok pay us now." They gave us a buttload of their own concept art/documents and a freaking outline of what to expect down the road. No company has ever done that. That deserves my money.
