    Solved!? Add more engame gear has quest rewards and dungeons/ instances

    I mentioned this in a thread and thought it was a decent idea. What do you guys think about questing to get better gear and add random rare drops to dungeons/instances. The gear would be untradeable. This would allow a some adjustments elseware. Ie give raid gear and this gear set bonuses.

    I'm of the mindset that the best gear in the game (or patch) should come from the most difficult content. It's a reward for you and your team putting in the work and dedication required to win. I have absolutely no issue with adding that gear to the so-called "catch-up" patch, but when content is fresh, I have no desire to see someone running around in equal or better gear out of shear luck of a random dungeon drop.

    The very best gear should be in a raid. They could do this by set bonuses. But also add some awesome gear to quests. Im in complete agreement with you.

    Can't say I'm a fan of random drops, dungeons are boring content all around (that's not to say we shouldn't have them though), to add rare gear into them will force people to run content they don't to do over and over. They've made that mistake with the Diadem, no need to repeat it a second time. I do think we should get gear set bonuses though, and interesting ones, not just "6/6, 50 Critical Hit Rate bonus" but rather "6/6, Dream Within a Dream has a 5% to proc after the execution of a mudra, immediately resetting its cooldown". Now, that would likely be a nightmare to balance but it would bring some life back into gear.

    Well the problem is gear is so bloated right now. Until SE realizes this it's just more stuff. Now if they added gear with unique stats like job abilities/trait bonus, weapons that might auto attack twice, and so on; your idea would work. Relic weapon questing is coming soon though which is kind of what you are asking for.
