Smile Trying to choose for static

So I got into a static with very good friends at the perfect schedule for me They need a melee dps, (they already have a drg) so my options are ninja and monk. I just got my 2nd set of 10 fragments for Thordan's weapon and wanna spend them wisely.

For Ninja, I like it a lot, it's already lvl 60 and has my main's (mch) full 210 right side, along with a diadem piece for body. However, the group doesn't count with a Drk (it's a pld/war comp) and we'd be lacking the int debuff.

For Monk, I gotta say I love their glamours more (specially since I love showing skin and the eso piece is perfect), but it's only lvl 53, with barely any endgame gear (Haven't lvled any str based melee), and well the playstyle seems fun.

What do you guys think I should go?

    Thanks!

I've only gone up to A2S but I really really like what ninjas bring to the table.

I would definitely go ninja because trick attack + goad + shade walker > int down plus you're already close to geared

While it already sounds like you prefer NIN I would say go with the class that you like the playstyle of more. What you bring to the party means a lot for how you enjoy playing. I've played MNK up to 50 so I can't speak to how it is at 60. You can always level it up later on for that sweet glam

Level up both but start raiding as a nin since you should be able to gear up both of them to be similar ilvl for the next tier of 8man raids, so you could swap the role depending what the raid you're going against needs, granted that only works if you enjoy playing both

People need to remember that a healer's job isn't to heal HP
but rather to prevent HP from reaching 0

My main is monk and I think ninja is the best fit in static raid.

Since it has more utility skill for team and easier to play with less positional attack.

I've both nin and mnk and cleared A4S. If for progressing through savage turns, NIN helps alot for raid wide utility and DPS. Shadewalker ups MT's aggro, and Smoke Screen will help your healer reducing threat when needed especially mass AoE heals. MNK has personal high DPS if you perform well, but that's it. -int would not be too important. Both is viable in your situation, but I would prefer NIN.

Another note, MNK is easy to master, its combo attack are kinda dumb-proof, meaning you will never lose a dot/debuff/buff after you learn a dungeon/raid. You will only need to learn when can you charge your chakra/use tornado kick/use purification/meditation. NIN is hard in a way that the role has a total of 5 buffs/debuffs to maintain, but since you have a war in party, you dont need to worry bout dancing edge too much bringing it down to 4 (2 dots, Huton, TA timing). I love both roles, and switch around them for raids depending on mood , hope this will help
