This was definitely my favorite mini-arc from 2.3 so far. Really hope we see this thread crop up again. Did the Lambs of Dalamud get out-creeped by Edda in TTD with her necromancy?

It's sad because when you last saw her in uldah she was all fine and motivated to try again. We became her inspiration. I thought she moved on. I wonder what brought her back to that old state and spiraled downwards.

But props to SE for making a dungeon so memorable. Great plot twist and how you were able to relate a dungeon to the main story.

Also the fact she was carrying around his severed head didn't do wonders for her sanity either. Even if she was resolved to become better, she had that as a constant reminder of her (perceived) failure.

Then i guess Avare was a bigger bastard than I thought considering the lovercratian ritual at the end.

Come to think of it Avare being an ass would be expected considering how certain MMO players tend to act (and that Edda's party was based on those selfsame players)

The end of that dungeon AND QUEST... Holy damn, this was chilling. It will be a hard act to follow. It hit harder because we knew this person. Sure, there was the lady of Haukke. But that was impersonal. If the void has Edda as some kind of thrall now... door open for even more chilling tales of void-touched dungeons.

I was amused that one of the final boss's AOE's is called "Red Wedding."

So creepy, so BRILLIANT. I don't think a game dungeon has successfully creeped me out so much since Ocarina of Time's Bottom of the Well.

And yes. Red Wedding. I was skyping with my party as that attack wiped us brutally our first run through, and practically shouting when I saw the name...too bad the rest of them didn't understand why. Can't think of a better way to slip that reference in than a place like that.

All in all, can't wait to see where this storyline leads, because there's no way we've seen it all with an ending like that. I'm pretty easily creeped out, but I loved everything about it.
