Pass on item selected Greed instead, what gives!?

I returned to FF after I got tired of the lack of content. So I started playing ToR. I ONLY came back because I love the FF story and the new Void Ark content gear and the new dungeons gear looks so incredible. I was thoroughly impressed!!

HOWEVER! I spent all this week running Void Ark trying to get a single piece of Caster gear. I finally get into a group where the hat drops, and I'm already competing against 2 other mages and a summoner. So the Casting Hat drops and the Maiming Helm drops. I clicked need on the Casting hat and Pass on the Maiming hat.

I DID NOT click greed on something I am not even level high enough to use. I never do and never would in an end raiding content. So I'm 1000% positive it was NOT a user error. However, when I saw the Maiming hat end up in my inventory, after overcoming my initial shock, I was incredibly furious. I didn't what this piece. I didn't need on this piece. I didn't even greed on this piece. So PLEASE remove the damn thing and reset my damn weekly lock. I have to wait a full week because of some SE glitch?!

Time: November 25, Wednesday, Around 10 p.m. EST I think.
Frequency: Once (and I immediately quit the raid and logged out I was so furious)
World name: Balmung
Character name: Kaly Hino
Monster name: Not sure the name, the second boss in Void Ark
Class/Level: Black Mage/Level 60
Party or solo: Full Alliance of 24
In-game time: no idea
Area and coordinates: Void Ark

Steps:
1. Party defeated the second boss in Void Ark.
2. "Void Ark Hat of Casting" and "Void Ark Helm of Maiming" both dropped. I clicked need on the Casting hat, and pass on the Maiming hat.
3. I see the Maiming hat land in my inventory, and check my chat history to find out wtf just happened.
4. I see the "greed" on maiming and I KNOW I never hit greed at all. I pass on everything in that place unless it's something I truly want and I need on it as the appropriate class.

Yeah... That kind of doesn't happen, are you sure you actually rolled pass instead of just not rolling on the maiming piece?

Yeah that doesn't happen. You either rolled greed on maiming and passed casting, or you rolled on both. They aren't going to reset your lock, there's nothing you can do because you messed up. Stop complaining about irrelevant gear you'll get next week. Thanks

Actually... the only time you will auto get something you have yet to make a decision on (as in clicking either of the three options) is if erebody leaves the instance and you are the last left from the party. if not... then you most likely greeded on the item and confused with for what you thought was the hat.
