    The Returners Hideout Idea

So my FC and I are buying a large house soon. The FC is named The Returners.

What we would like to do is make the house as close as possible as The Returners Hideout from FF3/6. However, I can not find suitable screen shots of Final Fantasy 3/6 of each room to see the layout. I know that this game has enough housing options to choose the right decorations to get an exact replica.

So that is our idea. As you all can tell, we are in a bit of a standstill. I am asking for your help in choosing what YOU would do in this situation. Such as what decorations you would use, and more importantly, how you would go about seeing each room in FF3/6 and making your house look like that. Thank you.

(Please know that the character in said FC is an alt of mine for now.)

Well, layout-wise, the key areas of the Hideout are: the Entrance, the Bar, a Library, a Bedroom, and Storage.
With a mansion, the first-floor could be the Entrance and Bar, the second-floor could be the Library and Bedroom(s), and the basement could be the Storage (and maybe add your crafter stuff there too).

For the walls, you could try the Country Interior Wall, Flame Interior Wall, or Masonwork Interior Wall, if you want that stone look.
For flooring, there's the Marble Flooring, the Masonwork Flooring, or the Stone Flooring.

Mimilu those are good ideas. I also want to add the Inn area as well to the house. What should I do about the treasure chests and the secret path to the White cape? Lastly, I doubt this is possible but what about the back area with the raft? Any more ideas is appreciated. What would you guys recommend as far as outdoor exterior look? This house is going to be in the Mists by the way .

This is all based off copying the FFVI design as closely as possible. You'll probably want to add more stuff and make it reminiscent of The Returner's base, rather than a 1 to 1 copy, or it's going to feel awfully empty.

    Exterior Fixtures
    Riviera Mansion Roof (Stone)
Riviera Mansion Wall (Stone) - Dyed grey is probably the best you're going to be able to do.

I don't think you have a whole lot of options for the river and raft, unless maybe you want to put out a ton of Garden Ponds, but that might look pretty silly.

    Interior Fixtures
Masonwork Interior Wall - On every floor

Masonwork Flooring - For the storage area
Glade Flooring - For bar/inn/library areas
If they introduce some kind wood rug, you might be able to play around with the layout a little more, but right now I think you're limited to main floor definitely being a "cave" area with the Masonwork Flooring, upstairs having Glade Flooring with one side being either the bar/inn/library and the other side being one of the others, and downstairs either being the remaining bar/inn/library room or being an additional cave/storage area.

    Oasis Pendant Lamp

    Furnishings
    Amdapori Wall Lantern
Corner Counter or Gold Saucer Corner Counter - The Corner Counter can be dyed, so that's a plus.
Shipping Crate - Lots and lots of crates
Round Banquet Table - Dyed white
    Chilled Red - Possibly empty
    Glade Chair
    Glade Bed
    Manor Bookshelf
    Terracotta Pot

These are all great suggestions! I might recommend the Glade Bookshelf over the Manor Bookshelf, though that's a tough choice. Each has elements of the FF6 bookshelf; Glade has a squared top, but Manor has the lower cabinets. There is a treasure chest, the Dead Man's Chest. For the secret path, perhaps set up some matching partitions so there's a narrow crawlspace near the wall. You could improvise an outdoor raft with a lot of overlapping Firewood.

Wow I was not expecting this to get as much attention as this post has. You guys are awesome! Thank you for your help . Keep it coming please.

My issue at the moment is trying to figure out how many amdapori wall lanterns i need as they go for 200k a piece. I do not know housing well at all as far as how much light is generated by each lantern. I will be throwing a small spin on the hideout such as putting the guildleve counter in where the bar is at and putting the mogdalier in the main hall.

Any ideas for the suits of armor?

Lastly, partitions. I plan to make the inn room, and the secret path in the basement. I need to know what u guys recommend as the correct partition to use.

By all means, run some Amdapor Keep with a few friends. If you're lucky or persistent, you can gather enough Amdapori Stone yourself and save a good amount of gil. The special material has a chance to drop directly into inventory from only one particular chest placed shortly before Demon Wall, so make sure you're with friends when the chest is opened. If you're in a random group, this chest often gets skipped, so if that's the case, be sure to go back to check it after the others have left!

The armor stands were something I was having trouble with in my previous post, so I skipped it! But since you're asking, let's check your options. Despite many, many requests, there are no mannequins yet, or that'd be perfect. If you're just after vaguely humanoid figures, there are Vodoriga Sculptures and Gargoyle Sculptures, but those are large and demonic. There are several varieties of floor lamp, but those are short and some are mascot-shaped. There's the Miniature Gold Saucer, but... way too flashy. Houseplants? A bit plain. You could use either Manor Flower Stands or Display Stands, and put something on top, like a chess piece, a stuffed doll or a model miniature. There's just nothing closely equivalent to the FF6 armor decoration, so far. As a last-ditch effort, get your GLA/PLD friends to stand around AFK with idle animations disabled?!

As for partitions, choose the one that matches with your estate's default interior wall. Glade Partition and Pillar for Lavender Beds, etc. Of course, this works best if you are using the default wall, so that the partitions match the rest of the walls.

We just purchased a medium in the Lavender Beds. Any update on exterior housing and such is appriciated.
