    3.0 Gil Earnings

Some of you may like to share, some of you wont. If you are earning a decent amount of gil since 3.0, how are you making it happen. You don't need to go into detailed strategy but I am curious if any of you are finding/found new methods or old methods that are earning more since 2.0

around 5.5 mil since 3.0 drop. didn't do anything really, just bought a ton of shards/crystals/clusters pre-expac and sold them after.

should fund my basic needs for the entire 3.X series.

You can make a decent amount of gil crafting the level 58/60 gear too since people may come short of iLVL when it comes to finishing the story.

I'm not bothering with it now but I made easy gil by selling HQ accessories for the new classes. I pretty much stuck to the Astrologian ones to minimize the number of items in my inventory. Had the components ready to go so I'd list a couple for each slot, and when I'd be questing and see them sell I'd bang out a few more really fast next time I was near a retainer bell. I'd add a VIT or INT materia since they were super cheap and would insulate me from undercutting by a small degree... and since I was selling these at a higher price than normal based on where the market was at, for me to spend 500 gil to add a materia was kind of like a small courtesy for buying mine vs someone else's. I also made HQ lvl 30 tank gear with Piety materia on it which I got super cheap and listed that right before the servers went down for the big maintenance prior to Early Access starting since people knew DRK was MP based and that sold fast. Made a good amount relative to the time (low) and cost (practically nonexistent) invested- more than enough to be able to cover my own post-HW spending and still have more than when it started.

Markets dried up now that people caught up, but I was one of the 1st lv60 fishers on my server, so I started farming mogpoms, selling them in stacks of 10 for 30k per 1, I did that alot until people caught up and drove the price waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down.
I've only got 2mil now though, used my mogpom funds to get the thav bustier made for me :P

made 6+ sets each of lvl 30 AST, DRK, and MCH gear before 3.0 early access and listed it before the maintenance, made a few mill on that, also made a ton on being the first on my server to supply lvl 30-40 weapons for new jobs during early access.

Crafters should be able to make a lot of Gil at 60. I tend to make roughly 10 million profit a day by selling all i150 left side pieces for crafters and gatherers as well as all 7 chivalry pieces and all mainhand / offhand tools for crafters and gatherers, and the 2 new bardings.

Just that alone (with restocks) should net you loads of Gil, if not magnitudes higher than what I get as my servers market is dead - all 60 gear including 1 stars sells dirt cheap and generates tiny profit.

For Gatherers, Fishing might be the best at this point since supply is the most limited of all gatherers as it's just not as popular. Other than that, adamantite ore will probably be good profit.

Skins might be a good thing to go after too if you're using a battle class.

Suggestions for gil that don't involve crafting, gathering or playing the market?
