    My advice would be to keep an eye on plots becoming available in around 2 weeks time. Patch 3.0 put in a new system where if someone doesn't use their house within a 45-day period, it'll be demolished and the plot will become available to buy again. It's about a month since 3.0 hit, so houses might start becoming available in around 2 weeks.
