Up and coming Raid healer Looking for FC!

Hello Hyperion! My name is (David) Sky Divide and I am a long time healing raider in many MMO's. I am pretty low right now as I have only just started the game a few days ago but I am looking for an FC that is raid focused as this is the only real reason I play MMO's.

I have always been a healer (Main Tank or Raid Heals) and have always done very well. I am looking for an FC that is already established and has a record of raiding but who could also foresee a use for a White Mage.

I am on during 9pm EST on work days, off days I could be on all day depending my current situation, so feel free to /Tell me and or send me a friend request if you are interested!

Just as a note you might want to note your accomplishments from other MMOs if you have no experience here and looking into getting into raiding in an established FC.

For example, you list WoW Vanilla up to WoD.
Can you list your achievement dates on when you Raided those tiers? (or rather link them)
This goes without saying also for Rift and Wildstar.
I'd assume those that would like to recruit you will want to know exactly how comfortable you are raiding based on these experiences.

Those are all uninstalled and I do not plan on going back to any of them, especially Rift or WildStar. So posting all those achieves just seems like a waste of time really. As I have stated above I was a raid healer in those three games and I have been raiding for over a decade and was in a core in all three games. I raided 3-4 times a week and each raid (especially progression) would be in sessions of up to four hours long. I am not one of those hardcore super min/maxer's but I will grind for the optimal gear, do my own research to prep for a raid and I will know my role and push it as far as it'll go. I also have the reflexes of a ninja cat so these mechanics (that I have seen so far) should not give me too much trouble especially after healing as a Medic in WildStar. For those who don't know, A medic is a healer but you have to basically be within' melee range (or pretty close) to your healing targets to do your job.

I'll give you 2 pieces of advice:

• Learn SCH. The world is filled with a million WHM's and we don't need more of them. They don't synergize together, and this game promotes different classes being used together, not similar ones.
• Learn what healing means in this game. Thinking that this game differentiates "Main Tank or Raid Heals" is a concept you need to throw out, because that's not what healing means in this game.

I am definitely willing to take your advice to go Scholar (especially if that lands me in a raiding FC) but I would have to have you expand on "Learn what healing means in this game". As I have said before I have been a raid healer for well over a a decade And I know there are many healing/support roles in a raid. MT Heals, DPS/Supp heals, Raid healer, Support buffs/debuffs. I am also going to state again that I am only 1 week into this game so I have not been exposed to any raiding dynamics.

If anyone could also back up that White Mages are not needed and Scholars are in short supply, please like this reply or comment below your thoughts. I joined a Legacy server knowing what I was getting into so your input is important/valuable to me. Thanks!

Thanks for recommending Scholar btw, I am doing some research on the class and it looks tough to master but it seems like the perfect class for me!

Fairly certain that both WHM and scholars are needed about the same. If you are a main healer though it's a pretty good idea to level all three of them.

Thanks for the advice Lani! I planned getting the WM done first but after I did some research on the Scholar, I am kinda sold but I will eventually have White Mage done as well.

Hello Crazy Cowboy. I am currently running with Crimson Eclipse (since day 1) and they are great folks but the FC Commander made it clear too me that they were not a raiding FC. I would personally rather be in the FC I am running with to learn personalities and learn how my future teammates work so I can adapt my play style accordingly. I don't feel a linkshell would compensate for these reasons which is why I am looking! Thanks for the consideration and I will submit the application now!
