Pretty sure if it will be implemented, it's going to be used like all the other Final Fantasy's and that it will be used via hitting an action icon instead of just hoping around like some fool.
Missing a jump only to have to run a long distance just to try it again is the thing that I hate the most. It is the reason I dont buy many games with a jump feature.
It is even worse in multiplayer games because the person who failed gets seperated from the group, and now everyone is upset because their gameplay just ground to a halt due to something as silly as jump.
In addition, with the servers not knowing where you are all the time... it makes jumps even more difficult.

Bayohne already confirmed that jump was coming in a post saying that to cancel spells players could hit the jump button. A lot of people thought he was kidding but he clarified that he wasn't.

^ thinks everyone who posts links to their main character...
And yes, people do abuse those things. I almost always see a miqo abusing /stretch because of the extremely suggestive moans they make. I have also seen people spam on and off their chocobos.
10/14/11 - FFXIV community civil war erupts. "I'm paying and the game is gonna be awesome." VS. "I'm leaving and the game is gonna die." Let the battles begin!
This is absolutely the last thing on my mind. Why in the hell does it matter? This isn't Aion, you cant glide or fly and there is nothing really to jump over. Waste of time.
They're adding it, it's already been confirmed. History repeats.
Wow, you must be so super cool because you love using Razer products. Judgmental prude.
I don't know why ppl keep starting pointless threads like this... jump is coming. It will be used to cancel spells. Stop thinking of WoW. Jumping is a fundamental form of movement in mmo's. Deal with it and stop crying.
