I always hated this excuse, because it never makes sense. The sliver of power stolen from the Primals would look alot like the Primals then the Egi's we have now, if they were following the "lore." But let's face it is SE still following lore when it comes to Summoner? I remember reading some where that Summoner's can only have a max of 3 pets because too many would cause them to go crazy, but we're about to get new pets in the Form of glamours.
