I should be able to glamour two-handed staffs to one-handed staffs.

Goes for BLM and WHM. There's currently two-handed and one-handed weapons... which the support for one-handers pretty much ended with Leviathan. (even sooner for BLMs)

However, there's still one-handed primal weapons for both classes. These are crafted (ex Levi for WHM), and look pretty awesome... and are currently completely dormant because we cannot glamour our Lunaris Rods into Inferno Cudgels.

I, for one, do enjoy the idea of having a small cudgel as my black mage conduit over a clunky big staff. Any possibility SE could accommodate us there? Hoped it was the case when multi-slot gear was "fixed" to work as glamour...!

First off there is no one handed staffs, they are wands completely different weapon type.

I don't agree with glamouring 2 handed staff to a 1 handed wand and vice versa. Would be like glamouring a lance onto a sword completely different weapons, does not make any sense.

No, it wouldn't. They'd have to remake every animation for your example, whereas the wands already have animations for the skills. I don't play DoM, but +1. It would be nice to get similar things for Ninjas with the ability to glamour two different daggers, but I know that's never going to happen, ever.

Regarding the “Malevolent Mogwand”, which is one of the popular weapons that players would like to glamour but are unable to because the weapon is one-handed, a two-handed version with the same design has been created and we plan to introduce this in 3.2. Please provide us with opinions and feedback on any current one-handed weapon which you would like to see as two-handed.
    Its kinda already happening.

As far as the game is concerned, they're all "Thaumaturge's Arms" or "Conjurer's Arms".

I don't agree with glamouring 2 handed staff to a 1 handed wand and vice versa. Would be like glamouring a lance onto a sword completely different weapons, does not make any sense.
But it's OK to the game to glamour my Kujo Kai into a Storm Elite's Scepter, but not into a Weathered Scepter. It's NOT OK to change my Birch Rod's appearance to an Old World Rod's, even though they're both rods. It's the same weapon, right?!

It's ~MAGIC~, it doesn't need to make sense.

For casters, the animations for both types are exactly the same. What's the problem there?

Happen to know where I can let them know I really want the Inferno Cudgel as a two-handed staff/rod/whatever?

And that is why some things just come out horrible because of this mindset.

Right, but when you use magic to change the appearance of a weapon, it really doesn't need to make sense why you can or cannot make a two-handed staff seem like a one-handed staff; especially when both weapons are wielded one-handed! In that case, it's magical glamour. It doesn't make sense that it can make children appear as floating eyes any more than it makes sense to make a scepter look like a staff.

Except if you parry something. Then your character hold the 2-hand staff on both hands.

I really hope that the "casters look weird when parrying" effect does NOT factor into their decisions at all.

I mean. Look at Pugilists that cross-class CNJ abilities. Floating fist weapons, anyone?

Yes please. No work needed other than changing that name from "one-handed" to "two-handed" or even just "weapon", so you don't need to make a new weapon at all, swap whatever bit of data that does that and so on... then voila, all them weapons no longer are one-hand restricted.

Why they decided to make a "two-handed version of the Mogwand" is beyond me... they don't need to do that at all, it's like they want to add more work than needed to these things I swear. Stop making more unnecessary hoops and holes for yourselves, please!

And they do for one-handed too. Who cares... and like somebody else posted, there's way more absurd things out there like floating a LNC weapon when casting cure and so on.
