Sounds cool, there have been several vampire inspired characters in the ff series. Too bad there is such a severe absence in the mmo genre.
Didn't the dark elf healer in Warhammer Online have vampire inspiration? From what I remember it was really popular.

In that example, it's more a matter of Warrior Priest / Disciple of Khaine being hands down the best party healers in the game. Warhammer in its entirety is popular, but the DoK mass was because it had low risk / extremely high reward

Ah, he just presented a class concept from game I played extensively, presenting it as a case where flavor drew people to the class.

I disagreed. People played the class because it was the defacto 'autoplay' healer along with it's good-guy counterpart. I knew people personally who played it despite hating the Dark Elf motif simply because it was the strongest party healer.
