I think the only time I've ever seen tempered will as useful, is for it's anti-knockback ability more than it's anti-heavy ability. Even then it's exceedingly situational as Leviathan and A3 N/S are the only instances I ever found it useful. Honestly though, I've noticed it's anti-heavy effects have become resisted more and more in later content similar to Shield Swipes pacification effect, unlike Pacification though, anti-heavy effects wouldn't be OP in any point of the game considering it's long cooldown.

You can also use it on occasion to remove that stupid heavy effect some monsters put on you when you're running away from them while mounted. That really needs to be gone in the first place, but I digress.

    By the time you...
    • Dismount
    • Use Tempered Will
    • Kill the monster
    • Wait for the game to register you're out of combat
    • Summon your mount
...you'd better keep running until the effect wears off

Not really. I just keep running, usually by the time the monster leashes and leave me alone I have 10-15 seconds left on the heavy and I'm out of combat. That's when I pop TW, remount, and go back on my way.

Kill the monster...? If your on a mount, your going somewhere. Dont bother killing the mob, just temp will and pop sprint till it deaggros and pretend like it never happened.
