Silly thread.
You can't jump off anything in FFXIV.

lmao, we've all been trolled by the op. over 30pages of thread and he derides the opposite of what he posted ...this made me laugh.
I plan to start paying for both of my accounts once f2p ends. My brother will also be paying, as will most of our LS from XI, who found 1.19 to be a great update, and are thrilled at the promise of 2.0.
So there's ten accounts that won't be jumping ship. o.0 Avast!
I want to stay, but I really can't afford $13/month since I have no job and am preparing to go to college full-time after this year ends :P
Peach Parfait/Khulan Angura on Gilgamesh
No, thats not true at all. You seem to have trouble grasping the issue myself and others have.the game has been free all this time because even SE them self said it was not worth a sub. now we still don't feel it is worth it and we get you guys making accusations , that we just want to troll....................
those of you making arguments these other sites don't matter are idiots...................
If you dislike the game enough to pay for it. Then by all means do not pay for it. What we have an issue with, is the fact that so many on here are posting 5 paragraph post, post in which all they are doing is attempting to convince us we are wrong to be willing to pay for our game. I mean look at you for example. You call everyone an idiot for disagreeing with you. No one said they don't matter. I know what I personally said, was the FACT that the first 8 out of 10 on one site and 7 out of ten on the other are not even current players. Thats the first 10 posters on poll threads. those numbers a FACTS, check em yourself.
You as an individual are a troll. You stand here and call every one an idiot because we said posters on some other sites are trolling and bashing a game that 70% of them are not currently playing or haen't even played recently. Thats not up for debate, thats numerical fact. So yes those polls are bias by trolls.
Nope. Not what we're saying.
We're saying it looks like quite a few people, maybe even a majority if fan site polls are to be believed, are planning to go away once fees start. We're worried about the effect on the FFXIV community to see so many potential fans and customers go away for at least a year.
We're trying to bring attention to what appears to be a serious problem. It has nothing to do with how much you're willing to pay at all. It's about having enough people to support the game for the long term.
I have no problem if SE wants to raise money for the game. But it would be nice if there was also some solution or process to keep more people engaged with FFXIV over the next year.

Oh 1.20, where are you?
The polls really need to stop being brought up. They aren't a good source to draw speculation from, from ANY forum for EITHER side of the argument.Nope. Not what we're saying.

Secondly, SE released an entire road map of changes that are happening between now and 2.0. If that isn't enough to engage some people to stay, then they aren't going to stay no matter how much you crusade.
If people want to leave, that's fine. That's my contribution to the community. Being accepting of people who simply don't want to play.
You're acting like there is going to be this huge implosion on the servers because there is going to be such an tremendous dip in the community...
I say YOU have the problem and have no faith. I expect better of someone who parades themselves as a champion of the people. How about you show some pride in the population that IS going to stay instead of bashing them when they don't share your thoughts on polls and people not wanting to play?
Quit crusading and have some faith that the community will remain stable.
OP "game sucks"
OP "i changed my mind, im staying"
That is all. Close /thread
It doesn't matter at this point. Even if a certain amount of people stop playing for a time this does not mean they'll stop paying attention. At this moment we are literally leeching from SE, they need to start bringing in some sort of revenue and this will be a good test on how well they are actually doing and how seriously invested people are into this game. The payment will make people really think about whether they really want to play or just want to take advantage of a very long trial run. We've been more then compensated for those of us who have been here since launch, it's time to support SE in their endeavors or choose not to.Nope. Not what we're saying.

This will not harm SE, the launch already did this and anyone who's been playing since won't just forget about the game because they've taken a break from it should they decide to wait until 2.0 to play again. I'm also unwilling to believe that the majority won't just come back a few weeks after leaving and pony up the monthly anyway.
