My opinion, it's a mistake to start charging for this next month. It's not worth a subscription yet.
I won't pay to play.

I enjoy this game, I get a regular thrill from playing, its a good product and its improving monthly. I will continue to pay to play.
I believe in paying for a product I find worthy, and I'm tired of the looter and moocher mentality that if you don't get something for free you're being cheated.
You are not required to play this game. If you do not feel the product is up to your standards then quit playing. I'm tired of being lectured about everything about this game, by this same gaggle of people that have only two classes leveled and only to 25 or below. You can't have tried a quarter of the content this game already offers. A few paying players is better than tens of thousands of whining moochers. /goodbye
I thought this post was hilarious.Go to BG, you'll see a poll where the majority is leaving.
Go to Zam, you'll see a poll where the majority is leaving.
Go to FFXIVCore, you'll see a poll where the majority is leaving.
Go to GamerEscape, you'll see about dozen people left, huddling together for warmth. Take pity on them
I looked up a few player names from posters on both Zam and the Core, and I looked up a few names. 8 of ten who plan to quit on the Core appear to have quit some time ago or to not have played in a while. 6 of the first 10 I researched on Zam. I would say its viable they are posting in those 2 locations because they can't log into the lodestone due to not having logged in the game in some time.
Right. Poll Results are skewed in the first place. The forums are generally somewhat more accurate because only people that are currently playing and have an active account can post here, and I'd imagine being able to like posts as well.I thought this post was hilarious.

Polls on other forums don't even take consideration whether the person is even playing or not. if they're not playing why should they answer?

forgot that you can also make more account to vote and you can vote on zam, core, and everywhere else unlike here you need a account to even log in so it accurate. I do agree a lot of players are leaving but a lot more are staying just due to the fact the game is good enough and they waste to much time playing it.Right. Even the players who said they leaving how much you want to bet they be posting here once p2p comes? i bet a few would![]()

Gee why is this thread not closed yet? If you leaving then leave...the rest of us enjoy the game...and will enjoy it so much the more once all the whining stops.
This game has great potential, that's why I am playing...
I have fun now and it's getting better every patch... The cost of the future development warrants the charges. End Key.
PS i read the OP and that's all
If you want to stay and pay, cool, do that. If you want to leave and come back after 2.0, cool, do that. Just don't be a dick about it either way.
I've been a harsh critic of SE ever since beta for the various things that I think are broken or poorly designed in this game (and there's a lot of them). Pretty much all of those things are slated to be fixed and/or completely replaced in 2.0; for the first time ever, I have hope for this game's future.
I will be staying and paying. The price of one lunch per month to play this game and experience the pre-2.0 story events is reason enough to keep my sub active. If I were still a poor college student, though, my opinion might be different.
So FFXIVCore's own, self-promoting admin is throwing its users under the bus. What an unexpected paradox.Right. Poll Results are skewed in the first place.
