Yeah, IDK if I am willing to pay for FFXIV in it's current state, only to have the rug swiped out beneath my feet a year later. That just doesn't make sense. If my husband wants to continue playing I"ll back him, but I think I'll be on a hiatus until this game is completely fixed, revamped, or w/e.

As a company, SE is really letting me down. I'll see how the game is in a year. If people are enjoying the "new" version of 14 that apparently won't be anything like this one. If what I hear is good, then I may give it a second chance.

BTW, I don't in any way shape or form condem the Dev team on the p2p decision. God knows they have been busting their casaba melons to get this game to what they would consider a great place. I blame the people who are in the position of power, like Wada.

I understand that SE may need the funds very much so to help support the developement/redevelopment of 14, however, he or whoever else should have thought very carefully before releasing this game a year ago. It's technically still in beta, and I'm not going to pay to be a beta tester.

I'll still look on the boards from time to time, until then SE, thanks for good ol' college try. See you at the next release

This is referring to the 2.0 client. When they transition over to the new client they will be instating a second free trial that will go from the end of 2012 to the beginning of 2013. As many have already pointed out, they intend to start charging a monthly fee before the end of 2012.

A Copy and Paste of what I stated in another thread:

-We played this game for a FULL year for free
-They were creating a Brand new game Behind the scenes ( in which cost ALOT of money)
-Yes we know they failed at launch, can we ge toff that subject now?

Whats more important is here and now, FFXIV was slow with the updates/changes to the game because they had a budget in which they were getting Zero income from . Now, When they are asking for a little support 12 bucks a months when YOU been playing for a year for FREE, and they ask for 8 months of money to make a game that Fits the Final Fantasy name?

This Community is Greedy sometimes :/ SE bent backwards for US, at least lets return the favor...
