In an effort to come up with some idea that can help change how Diadem is consumed, I drummed up this idea. Not sure if it's been discussed at all. The Treasure Compass.

Treasure Compass is an item that acts similar the aether current compass. It points the direction of buried treasure.

These can only be obtained from Gold Chests, or be purchases using the brass seals from the vendor. To ensure that all kinds of groups can participate, the compasses will have varying degree of challenge rating (8man,16man,24man). You can select the kind of compass from the vendor, but the ones dropped from gold chests will be random.

Rewards: like treasure maps, these coffers offer up rare items and gear. The more difficult the encounter, the more spoils obtained.

I think this is a start of an idea SE might want to consider to keep the act of "exploration" relevant within the Diadem. Ensuring players with guaranteed ways to pop the high level gear will motivate to farm points/compasses and to make their own groups to go hunt for the treasure instead of just farming Dino Island for 90 min. Although Dino island farming is still a good way to earn seals to buy a compass as well. This system encourages both playstyles.
