People are farming diadem because of the increased rate at which gear spirit bonds. On Tonberry, the bot FATE swarm in Northern Thanalan has disappeared after the Diadem was implemented because they can all go farm the Diadem now
In regards to parties with gatherer's, I wonder if adding a buff for having a gatherer in the party could work? Say, if a party has a gatherer they receive a 5% damage boost or the HP requirement is lower or gold chest % is higher. It would only apply for having 1 gatherer, not the more you have the more the buff.
Maybe even add a hidden item on the gathering nodes that gives a buff for x amount of time. So I could be gathering and hit/catch a 5% damage boost for the party for 10 minutes.. just throwing some thoughts out there..
Potentially this could help reduce rage as PF would save a spot for a gatherer. Everyone wins
Edit: I know it doesn't address the rolling on loot, but if a gatherer is positively helping the party, loot rolls can be their reward??

So, people who have farmed all day since patch are okay, full dressed and happy.
People who enjoy a content at a normal rate, have to finish to unlock exploratory or play as tank (since the drop rate for tank is the Hell, like the pain to find a group in this mono-tank set up) now have a big disadvantage.
Well played, Thanks for let this awkard situation happen.
By now, a fix like this is pointless. You can learn from it for the "next round", to avoid such mistake the next time. By now the damage is already done.
What advantage are you talking about? So, people who have farmed all day since patch are okay, full dressed and happy.

You are not in a race against other people for who gets the best gear first. I dont see a problem where some people want to rush content like crazy playing all day and other people doing stuff at normal rate.
If you belong to the first group, them bad for you, you should have done it earlier.

Of course is not a race, i'm in the normal rate of content exploration with my static that 2-3 hour in the evening. But that's not your concern or business tbh.
But a game is made by balance, is not my concern or my duty to rush a content because the develop team can screw up. It happens, we are human indeed, but a serious company have to take responsibility and keep balance in mind. While is not a race, is indeed true that nerfing the drop rate by now will affect only people who enjoy content in the right way.
I'm okay following the developper's concept of gearing time by time, even if it require for me big effort, as long it ensure the same possibilities for time spent doing an activity. But i can't support a turnback like this.
The keyword here is "you don't see the problem," because the top raiding statics/FCs absolutely are in a ridiculous Diadem arms race, since whoever out of this group has the best gear walking into 3.2 is going to be the most likely to get world firsts.
Just because you don't see the problem does not mean the problem doesn't exist.
I think the larger issue is, why should we care about the statics competing for e-peen?The keyword here is "you don't see the problem," because the top raiding statics/FCs absolutely are in a ridiculous Diadem arms race, since whoever out of this group has the best gear walking into 3.2 is going to be the most likely to get world firsts.

No, they could undo this nerf and people would forgive, I'm sure. So, people who have farmed all day since patch are okay, full dressed and happy.

Also this is much more than a "slight adjustment" having just finished a pretty populated run @ dino island. Be ready to see more gatherers and more people ditching earlier.
Thank you Yoshida!
I think this is a great idea. And I even think it could be "the more you have, the more the buff" (well, maybe up until 3 or something). Especially if you can't kill low level mobs for gold boxes anymore. In regards to parties with gatherer's, I wonder if adding a buff for having a gatherer in the party could work?
