It's Final Fantasy!
It fixes a lot of issues/flaws that I despised in FFXI (which I also loved and have played for over a decade)
The lore/story/world is beautiful and, more than that, I feel we the community are inadvertently influencing it's ongoing design and development in very subtle ways, despite what some people think (thanks to Ferne and the rest of the lore/writing/localization teams interacting with us players about the game's lore and worldbuilding)
Being in the Alpha and Beta tests, as well as a Legacy Campaign member, I feel I made a personal contribution to the game's development, even if it was extremely minor. And as my name is in the end credits (as part of the 'Meteor Survivors', a perk of being a Legacy member), I feel I have a much deeper, personal connection to this game than any other I have played.

But most importantly, this is Final Fantasy, a FF game where I can create my own character and experience the game's story through the eyes of my character. I'll love this game forever!

1. Cheap way to hang out with RL friends who have moved away. I'm 1-2 hours away from most of them, and even those who are still in town all tend to be too busy for us to get together. (Unfortunately, Fallout 4 consumed about half of them. I don't expect them to return until December.)
2. Glamour. Glamour glamour glamour. So many clothes. So many. Much wardrobe. Very closet.
3. Final Fantasy story! I want to know what happens. I also tend to get a little shippy with the characters I like the most... (Aymeric/Lucia forever)
4. Crafting and gathering. They're a means to an end, but they also tend to be relaxing in their own right, especially fishing.
