Aethersands

Aethersands are my biggest enemy and I'm quite annoyed at this cos I'm trying to gather HQ's for my crafting 2* and personally I'm sick of getting the yellow aethersand (Duskbourne Aethersand) I have over 500 on my character which i just keep NPCing

What i would like to see if you could change it since the lvl58, lvl60 item is still a rare item and not an 100% pop in the nodes since getting them HQ is still even harder as the % of the chance of the item is evil compared to getting Duskbourne, I just wanna be able to craft my gears and not spend 8 hours plus gathering just to craft one piece of item....

• LVL60 - Land/Sea/Leafbourne

Getting to the point now where I'm getting fed up with the excess of Duskbourne even when i'm fishing and the range of fishing is so evil compared to Botanist/Miner and some crafts need x3 and it's just disheartening and such a huge time sink, that i do majority of the time neglect other content cos i'm trying to farm for one piece of item (i.e. the aethersands)

Farm aethersand is a timesink, but once you know how to farm them, are easy.

Ignore lvl 56 and lvl 58 items. They don't produce leaf/landborne aethersand. Other tool is your rotation to get 8/8 collectability



Usually, 1 each 5 lvl 60 item gives me 1 hq landborne or leafborne. Sometimes you reducted 10 and don't get one, and other times you reducted 2 and get both on them.

Level 56 and 58 items do produce Leaf/Landborne Aethersand, just not quite as often as level 60 items. I get them pretty frequently at 8/8, from all the reduceable items, and sometimes in groups of 2 and 3 just like from the level 60 items. I was struggling hard to get decent sand returns until I decided to just go for the level 58 item if it popped, and if nothing popped before I hit max GP and my cordial was ready I went for the level 56 item. I had all the sands I needed in no time after that, most of them not coming from the level 60 items.

Of course if you are specifically going for HQ, I'm pretty sure you need a level 60 item since I never saw HQ from anything else. But you should not be trying to use HQ Aethersand for every singe sand you need, since they are far too time-consuming and unreliable to get in the quantities you need. I remember needing 1 HQ Leafborne to make up for an NQ mat early on, and I spent literally 13 hours straight without seeing one. This last batch of sand I gathered, I saw an HQ within a couple nodes, and two more before I was done. RNG sucks and you really don't want to be trying to get full HQ sands for every single thing you craft. Beyond the accessories, the amount of extra HQ % you get per HQ sand is extremely small compared to the effort it takes to get one, and absolutely not worth the hassle.

Speaking of Aethersands, Every now and then when I use Aetherial Reduction on a fish I'll get, I think Sea Foam Aethersand, but what the heck is it for?

Seaborne Aethersand is used for all 2-star crafter pants and shoes, and a couple accessories.

Good to know. I don't have a single crafter over 30 yet so I've still got some work to do before it's of any use to me.
