It's perfect for me as well. I'd rather they not change it.
Even if it wasn't. Changing it just to fit your schedule seems incredibly selfish and would inconvenience alot of others.

The maintenance time is fine for me. I'm always asleep when they do it.
Maintenance is right as it is. Having it in the early ours of the morning is the best idea (1am to 9am) seems reasonable for everyone. People sleep and wake up in the morning.
So keep it as it is.
Wow. Just wow. Sooooo very many people who see the OP's request as selfish and only fitting his needs, but then responding with, "It's perfect for me! Don't be selfish and think only of yourself, there are other players in other time zones, ya know."
Just in that response alone, all I can take from that is, "Hey it doesn't affect me, please don't ask SE to change the times that maintenance occurs because it might affect me and I wouldn't want to have to be inconvenienced like soooooooo many other people because things for me are great and I'm sorry it sucks for you. While I don't have to change my situation, you really should change yours if you don't want to be inconvenienced, but don't ask SE to change maintenance times. Why should they accommodate you? It would be inconvenient for them to perform maintenance at another time, as the maintenance time seems to fall within their work hours and they definitely shouldn't work some other odd hours to perform a necessary maintenance just to accommodate you and you alone. How very selfish of you for making such a request! Shame on you. You should feel bad about yourself for being so selfish with your simple request!"
Am I the only one who sees these responses as the person calling the OP selfish being selfish themselves? Is there any harm in the OP asking for maintenance times to be changed? Why does everyone get their pantaloons in a wad just because someone merely asks a question of concern to them that is most likely going to be ignored, and never taken into consideration, because SE are going to do things the way that they do them, in regards to maintenance, and I highly doubt that they'll be making any changes to their scheduling.
I also would love to see SE rotate maintenance times. If you are going to inconvenience a portion of the playerbase, it's only fair to inconvenience another portion of the playerbase during the next maintenance, and then another the next, and so on, until it comes back around to inconveniencing the original group and the cycle begins again. How would that not be fair? Some people are only able to play during certain times and maintenance always occurring during their playtime is extremely unfair to them. Take this into consideration.
For everyone who got upset by the OP's request, think about how you would feel in his shoes. If maintenance always and without fail occurred during the only time you have to play the game, and you were being affected every time that there is a maintenance, while the vast majority of the playerbase are completely unaffected and experience no service interruption due to maintenance, how would you feel? Before you say that you would suck it up and find something else to do and the OP should quit whining, seriously consider how you would feel if you were in the group of players that were inconvenienced every single time while all other players are not affected.
The only fair option, in my opinion, would be for SE to rotate maintenance times as I suggested above, and I would like to request that they please take this into consideration. I had stuff to do last night, got home late, I really wanted to be able to sit back, relax, and enjoy the game after a long hard stressful day, only to find that by the time I logged in I had one hour available to play before the servers were being shut down. That sucked. Sure I sucked it up and dealt with it, but this has been a recurring problem for me pretty much everytime that there has ever been a maintenance, and quite frankly I'm also tired of it. The OP, myself, and all the other players who play semi-late night to late night/early morning in the US, should not have to be inconvenienced every single time that there is a maintenance.
We all pay pretty much the same sub fee, plus or minus a few dollars. Please respect your fellow adventurers and rather than getting your pantaloons in a wad when someone makes a request, consider why they are making the request and how you would feel in the same situation.
Also, the argument that SE performing maintenance at other times would cause them to work odd hours is moot. SE work odd hours for maintenances, and patches, when needed and it would not be outside of the ordinary for them to work odd hours 1 day out of the week, when a maintenance is necessary. Their inconvenience would be for the greater good, and would allow them to provide excellent customer service and satisfaction to us as we are all paying customers.

Well maintenance is usually scheduled to start at 11pm pdt which is 2am edt which is not prime time. They do 9pm maintenance like last night but majority time seen it start at 11pm.
People complain as IF maintenance was done 24/7.... It's either done once a month or even that!.... Me being a hard-core gamer does NOT brother me in the slightest time maintenance starts or ends cause at the end of the day is a one off and NOT an everyday thing , something that some people can't understand....
Also usually its done on Monday night, not Tuesday night. For me it was really just unfortunate bad luck they decided to do it Tues. Cause my static has been having a lot of issues with late peeps, due to there work schedule. And we decided the best solution was to push the time out 30 mins start/stop. And this happened to be the week they decided to change maint day to a Tuesday. So it ended up chopping off our last 30 mins. In any case, I wish they would just keep the same days if anything. That way those of us that schedule specific days/times, don't have to be inconvenienced. Unless is like, emergency maint, then that's ok.
Unfortunately, no matter what time maintenance takes place, some people will be inconvenienced.
In my experience the server I play on is always most active from 11pm-2am EST so it kind of sucks they do maintenance during this time but I can always come on the forum and be annoyed like everyone else at least. (i.e. whatever) As somebody that works in the server and network business you always do maintenance during the off hours at your inconvenience to do it to convenience the customer. Even saying "do it during the day" in Japan is inconveniencing players over there. They really should be doing it like 1-2am Japan time if they want to impact the smallest number of players.

Saying, "I'm fine with it." is not the same as what you're saying there. What it IS saying is that I can see past myself to how it would impact people other than myself. You know 'taking a step back to see the bigger picture'. I tend to play till 2-3 AM EST (GMT -5) so I lost a fair bit of game time, but I'm fine with it. It had to happen. I mean, have you seen the patch notes? A veritable grocery list of fixes! But what the originator is asking, rather singularly if the replies are any clue, is for Square to not schedule maintenances when they want to play. Not really giving a timeframe of when they play, nor considering who would be affected in his stead. He just wants it, "Not in my play time."
