    #WEAPONS?!

    I really really wish SE would offer more viable weapon options. I don't care if its grindy. Give me some legendary weapons to strive for that arent gated behind some EX mode content. Seriously whats the big deal? Also give the raiders some awesome weapons but please... what do you guys think?

    I know just seems they really limit us with only two options most of the time.

    I'm not saying more would be bad but...is 5 options really not enough? I mean granted hive weapons are only 190 but still

    I think that's the whole thought; if it has much lower weapon damage, and lower primary stats, you're pretty much forced to forego the choice in secondary stats because in the end you'll go with whatever gives you the biggest punch.

    It means giving up that shiny Crit+Det axe for one that's Accuracy+Skill Speed because it's 3 weapon damage more and like 5 points each in STR and VIT. That isn't much of a choice. (Worse yet if you're already capped on accuracy and you'd have to downgrade armor to ditch it on other pieces.)

    I wish they wouldn't be afraid of horizontal progression in terms of having at least two sets, with varying secondary stats, and EQUAL iLVLs out at any point in time. Just make them similar in effort to acquire.

    Isn't this exactly what we have right now, though? Esoterics and Alex gear are i210, only differing in secondary stats.

    That's the best system they can use, tbh. They have weapons for raiders, and weapons for non-raiders which take longer to get. A patch or two later, they'll introduce easy-to-get tomestone weapons or crafted weapons of the same iLVL. Because if tomestone or crafted weapons were viable options from the start, most people would grab those and not bother with the longer, more time consuming relic quests, or go into Alex Savage in an effort to get their new gear.

    I think there could have some horizontal progression if the stats weren't that focus on weapon damage and main stat.
    I'll take an example from the DRG current "stat weight". Those are not perfect, but show the idea.
    WD : 10.625
    STR : 1
    DET : 0.139
    Crit : 0.162
    SS : 0.104
    With those data, you can see that 88.32% of your DPS comes from WP, 8.31% from Main stat (str) and the cumulated second stat give a womping 3.37%
    This means, a weapon with those stats :
    WP 100, STR 100
    would be 96.63% as effective as a weapon with those stats :
    WP 100, str 100, Crit 100, det 100, ss 100 (which is already "incredible second stats")

    I would rather have, at least a distribution like this : WP 50%, main stat 25%, 7.5% For each other stats. This would still be a bit meh, but still a better stat weight for a better itemization.

    Yeah, the secondary stats definately need another look, right now they are pathethic in not just damage, but their own actual functions as well.
