Would love to see a Magic distant DPS/buffer using either their hands or orbs to send direct damages (with no casting, a bit like lightning on FFXIII) or channelling spells.

My predictions for next expansion:
Dancer - Tank
Samuari - DPS
Red Mage - Healer
Honorable Mentions
Rune Fencer - Tank
Beastmaster/Hunter - DPS
Chemist - Healer
♥ Jack of Hearts ♥
"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." – Arthur C. Clarke
My prediction is
Time Mage
Samurai
Red Mage
Though, if we are choosing, not predicting, then:
Red Mage
Ranger
Necromancer

Personally, I hope they give us at least one unexpected, new or underused job, like they did with Astrologian and Machinist.
I like being surprised. >w>
DANCER... I think DANCER would be a good new job because DANCER is a great job. I think DANCER could play any of the 3 roles just depends on how DANCER is setup.
At some point we should get rdm because this is Final Fantasy.. but I have no clue how it would fit in this game unless it had 3 stances.. can't change stance in combat or instanced places.
Ok everyone that wants a SAM but make them a DPS...

Lagmancer:
Cast Queue debuffs, rubber banding DoT and a 10 min Freeze.
In all seriousness though, the red mage phys/mag thing sounds awesome. I usually play hybrid classes.

Not well up on previous FF games, but I'll link from other games:
1. Cleric (Aion) http://gameguide.na.aiononline.com/aion/Cleric
2. Necromancer (Rift) http://telarapedia.gamepedia.com/Necromancer
3. Chloromancer (Rift) http://rift.wikia.com/wiki/Chloromancer
1. Samurai, most obvious but could be tank or dd;
2. Dancer, healer I guess (unsure how skills would work); and
3. Pirate, outta left field, sword and pistol offhand dd ala Gangplank.

Oh well, looks like it got revived.
I made a concept way back when for Red Mage back in the 2.x days with the idea of it being a mid-range DPS that had spells and melee attacks operating on two independent GCDs, so they use both MP and TP, have very frenetic, fast attacks, and are movement dependent based on their relative distance to an enemy rather than their position near it. I'd still like to see that- The reason I play MNK and MCH more than any other jobs are because they're both very fast attacking classes that have a lot of off-GCD skill weaving. But what if skill weaving was a major class mechanic? Ooooooh.
I have no idea what to expect... But I hope for
Viking
Time Mage
Red Mage
Parivir/Yojimbo
Fencer
