Alright everyone: It. Is. TIME!
I am exceedingly thrilled to announce the auditions for Cycle 5 of Eorzea’s Next Top Model, along with some additional information about the cycle itself.
Auditions will be running from 11/12-11/20, with the final cutoff being 11:59pm EST on the 20th.
As with previous rounds, there will be three shots requested for each prospective model. We will -not- be splitting into groups based on any criteria - everyone will be up against each other from the start.
We will be running a 10-round cycle and currently expect to have 12 models in the cycle, though that number is subject to change if we see a need for it.
Absolutely anyone is open to enter, with the only requirement being that you have NOT been a previous winner of either ENTM or ENTM - YouTube Edition.
I will warn everyone now - the general theme for this Cycle will be quite heavily based around Heavensward, so I’m afraid that if you don’t have access to the expansion then you would be ineligible for entry. I apologize to anyone this excludes.
Entries should be sent to the email address at the bottom of this post. You do not have to post them anywhere else, though of course you are more than welcome to do so if you wish! The models we select will be contacted via email within 2 days of auditions closing, at which point they will be provided with the shot list for the contest (which will begin in full early December).
The first round WILL be a non-elimination round, so please don’t feel daunted! There will be a chance for you to get a feel for the contests and what the judges/public are looking for.
On which note, judging will once more be a combination of public/judge votes, weighted to achieve the 75% Judge Vote, 25% Public Vote weight that was the most popular setup when we last ran a poll on the subject.
Lastly, images may NOT be manipulated in any way. That is extended to include any third party tools that might be used to enhance visual effects within the game. We do not require the SE watermark to be on the shots (so as to allow for the use of alternate image capturing software) but cropping/tweaking/any other manipulation will be grounds for dismissal from the contest.
We can tell. We can, after all, tell from the pixels, having seen quite a few ‘shops in our time.
Other than those, the only limit is your creativity!
Right, on to the most important part: The audition shots! As has been the case in the past, three shots will be requested:
Shot #1: Minion Madness
For this shot, set out with your favourite minion and create a shot with them. Remember, you should still be the focus of the shot, but we want to see just why you love that minion so much!
Shot #2: Bad Weather Blues (Kai’s Challenge)
For your second shot, head outside when bad weather strikes and get a shot! Rain, snowstorms, strong winds - any kind of weather that would make a sane person curl up with a hot mug of tea instead of running outside to take photos.
Shot #3: Sky Pirates (Ty’s Challenge)
For the third shot, it’s time to take to the skies! I want to see the models in their best Sky Pirate outfits! You could be exploring, raiding, running from the authorities...the setting is up to you, but I want it to scream Sky Pirate!
The shots should be sent to entmauditions@gmail.com in the form of an imgur album. That way if you decide to change up your images, you can freely swap them out until the deadline. One of the ENTM hosts will respond to confirm that we received your entry!
We will be posting up Judge auditions at a later date, so watch for that too!
Judge Audition Information:
As with last time, we'll be auditioning for three judge slots.
The audition will require you to provide critique on the three shots provided here: http://imgur.com/a/dVnsF
Each critique should be a single paragraph and focused on constructive advice and praise - don't offer meaningless platitudes, but be constructive with suggestions!
The three critiques should be sent to the same email address as model auditions, with the title Judge Audition - [your name].
Judges will be announced at the same time as models.
Best of luck, everyone!
As always, non-audition related questions and general excitement can be shared over at the General Discussion Thread.
