Double wow I didn't realize that appraisals were capped at 115 methodical. Guess perception loses value quickly aside from the occasional HQ extra point crits.

600 GP is the minimum standard for end game. 650 GP can give an edge if you can achieve it (with overmelds and with food).
Never use Toil ever again. Toil is bad bad bad. It has been bad since old times of ARR. Even without the collectable game in HW, Toil has always been bad for almost any unspoiled gathering activity. All you need is one hit on the slot and 300 GP is saved. The only situation when Toil is useful is if the item changes slot number every time.
I wouldn't say that. It is the only way to save one gathering attempt in the early 50s. With toil + Discerning Eye + Methodical Apraisal + Methodical Apraisal, you can get 4 collectables at level 50 to turn in. How else could you achieve that?Never use Toil ever again. if you have 599 GPs use cheap vendor food to get over 600. Lentils and chestnuts are 34 gil, available from vendors in the starting cities and give 20 GPs and a tiny perception boost too. For max perception cheap, Dzemael Gratin is available in foundation for 457 gil. 24 GPs, 6 perception. If you have gil to burn on 3.0 HQ food, HQ Stuffed Cabbage Rolls give 32 perception and 16 GPs.
If your gear has any unoccupied slots meld perception IV, If you will be overmelding, I would say III unless IV is dirt cheap on your server compared to your gil on hand.
I can't see your gear, Lodestone currently has you on WHM, but hats give the most perception and also can take the most.
Well, fair enough.
For me, I never bothered with collectables until level 60 since leves + GC turn-ins were sufficient for my leveling process. :/

Collectibles were the best exp you could do for Miner and Botanist. Leves made a nice supplement, but the Collectibles offfered so much more exp it was ridiculous.
Towards the end was getting around 1 mil exp for Miner or Botanist, per 10-12-2 oclock Collectibles set.
That's why I never wrote a guide on "how to level Min/Btn"! LOL! I knew I was never good at that! XDCollectibles were the best exp you could do for Miner and Botanist. Leves made a nice supplement, but the Collectibles offfered so much more exp it was ridiculous.

I did like Caimie... Maybe because of the old way to levelup in ARR
And because leves help a lot in spiritbonding XP (brainless hitting nodes)
In my opinion, you should only be using skills like toil when you want to mass unlock all the items from the node, the very first time. From then on, after its been discovered, you should be saving the 300gp to heal the node with ageless words/Solid Reason if you don't need the GP for the extra appraisal. After you get Single mind you don't need to use ageless/Solid, but that's what it's good for before 57 for collectables, but I guess that early when you're not using instinctual for the rng boost, it works the same! xD
