    Toil has only really been good for the pioneers (see what I did there?) of the unspoiled gathering world, who are the first to discover exactly what slot items are on. It's good for that at least, but after that it quickly loses it's value. The only time you'd use it now is for items that have randomized slots (like dark matter clusters)

    Indeed, Toil of the Pioneer is mostly only suitable for the pioneering work! ^_^
    Pioneering the same old node again and again won't make sense! LOL!

    Try to hit 670 GP. Then you can beef stew your way to 700. Makes getting those rare aethersands quite a lot easier.

    Is it possible to get your base GP to 670 while wearing the i180 Red Scrip turn-in gathering gear? Or does it require for you to keep the HQ Lv60 craftable gathering gear with overmeld?

    I'm planning on use toil again soon on legendary nodes once I hit 700 GP.

    This is the rotation imma use -》Toil / Sharp Vision II (100% with 725 gathering) / unearth (+10% HQ) / collect 5 / Deep Vigor + Bountiful Yield

    This is a guarateed, 100% RNG free, 2 hq items at least per legendary node (with 5 attempts with at least 18%)

    I had been been using Solid Reason / Ageless Words to do that (at 600 GP without using Unearth) but I can see the advantage to using Toil.

    Toil and Solid/Ageless have the same GP cost and the same effect (avoiding having to hit the node to reveal the item is essentially the same thing as buying another hit on the node) but Toil has the added bonus that there's no risk of forgetting the position and hitting the wrong spot. I used Toil all the time as part of a lower-powered version of Lilyth's rotation back when gathering endgame was redolent/antumbral for Lucis tools.

    It's possible but you might need chyshal greens and/or griffinskin accessories.

    Maximum possible GP according to Ariyala is 652 with none of the crafted i170 gear and 668 with all 170 accessories, if you're using i180 gathering gear. 700 is possible with HQ stuffed chysahl, but that's about it.

    What do you think about this one?

    Toil (300gp) > Unearth II (300gp) > Sharp Vision (100gp) > Gather x5 (at 37% chance) > Gather x1 (last hit HQ)

    Figure this gives you x5 swings at 37% HQ chance and the last swing guarenteed HQ. The only downside i can see is that the sharp vision likely won't get you to 100% (probably 91-95%).
