
Wasn't it the same with Iceheart too?I believe that it is the same as the French and German versions, they use the more direct translation of the original JP source to English (pre-localization) as their reference point, not the localized English version.
This reminds me of the issues with Midgardsormr and the way he was handled in the localization, the other language versions matched the JP original much more closely then too, for the same reason.

I really, really wish we had the choice between the more direct translation from JP to EN and the Localized EN version when choosing which dialog should appear during cutscenes. If you play with Japanese language cut scene audio, the localized text doesn't always make sense, so it would be wonderful if we could choose to have the translation that's more directly related to what's being spoken by the characters.

I can agree with that to a degree. It kind of reminds me of the whole Nael thing. Though that one is something I won't go on about further.I believe it was.
