Man, I liked the Gubral Library more as a victory lap than ilevel synched.

Not sure how you guys feel on it - I'm sure there's different opinions on it. But I loved Gubral Library more as a victory lap than as a ilevel synched area.

When you got there as the dungeon, it was kinda like... you knew your journey leveling your job was over. One more level - not two, like every other dungeon - and you were gonna be at 60. It was kinda magical in the anticipation in and of itself.

And when you hit 60, if it wasn't your first 60? Man. The transition into your i180+ armor was exciting. You got to start just -decimating- the dungeon's mobs. Your attack felt like it over doubled itself if you had appropriate gear waiting for you at the cap, and it just made you feel awesome.

You might have to hold back a little if your tank was under geared - but even that was fine. It was just fun. It felt like a victory lap once you hit 60. You got to feel the difference of your own strength.

It's kinda depressing how they changed it. I liked it more without ilevel synch.

I'm just glad I farmed the glamour sets before it was changed. It was pretty fun burning through it, especially when you had a geared level 60 tank.

Agreed, there is a certain kind of entertainment to having places where you're essentially godlike - it's pretty much the only reason I bother with the Main Scenario Roulette. Well, that and the awesome music in those two dungeons.

Don't get me wrong, being godlike everywhere would get boring, but just one or two places would be nice.

    yeah, victory lap was fun^^

but i can understand they did it: a fresh lvl 59 tank is not able to hold hate against a lvl 60 char with ilvl 200+. just impossible. so no fun for the tank, tanks don't enter the dungeon, endless waiting times...

Did you go in as an overgeared SMN (190+) with an undergeared Tank (barely 140) prior to the sync? Its pretty much never allowing your Tank to have hate ever. It was pretty hilarious to see mobs melt so fast, but yeah, I can understand why they changed it.
