Do we want FFXI glamor items?

Horizontal progression gear also made more sense in FFXI because you could swap gear mid battle, so the level 75 piece that was best for regular attacks was different from the level 75 piece that was used during a weaponskill. Also, gear affected elemental damage, so a black mage would have all 8 of the elemental staves and would switch them out to match the element of the spell you're casting.

XIV's elemental system is completely different, and while some pieces of gear do affect it defensively, none of it is affected offensively. I don't think that's a bad thing.

And even FFXI eventually caved in and let you combine all your staves into one mega rainbow staff.

I think the devs should focus a lot more on content before they do any more glamour's. In fact I say No more glamour's till they make a real horizontal progression system to gear. Only do glamour's for the events but there needs to be a better form of gear progression.

Cause that's really the first way to solve the inventory problems.

I personally don't. I don't have anything against people wanting that, can truly understand why they would, but 8 years of FFXI.. I've had my fill and don't need anymore of it in a different game.

Oh yes! Definitely! I can't believe I forgot about this! I loved that armour when I levelled WAR originally in FFXI. It's such a beautifully designed set of armour that is quite unlike anything else in the game.

I'd like to see the AF armors from XI return as just glamour items for the jobs that were in XI (Sorry AST, but you don't get any unless AST and MCH share Corsair's lol).

It's pretty much the DNC AF with some alterations (namely the shoes and bangles)



But yes, it should be dyeable if it ever makes it in (preferably on the Dancer job if it ever makes it in ;D). Also the DNC Relic (AF2) looks great (it's almost just a recolor anyway, it has it's differences though).
