I agree. What they have planned is stunningly amazing. I'm just worried about it ever seeing the light of day due to the huge population drop we will see in November, once subscriptions are introduced. The game already suffers low population as it is.

Don't think SE wants their precious brand to have a game missing in the hierarchy and remembered as a dead on arrival game. That's why they're pulling out all the stops to fix this mess. At this point, I think it's a safe bet that they will follow through unless something catastrophic happens.

None of the people I know are going to quit after what they annouced today. I am sure some will quit, but if the group of people I play with is some kind of indication we will be fine.

We are a large group of players that can be considered somewhere between casual and hardcore (mid-core as Yoshi calls it).

Well at least they give us the option to turn on subscriptions instead of automatically making them recurring. I'm no jackass, if I thought the game was worthy of paying for subscription-wise in the state it's in I would... but as it stands...
