You're quite the charmer aren't you? Basic forum netiquette is checking at least the first page of topics to ensure you're not making a repeat. There was in fact a near identical topic onthe front page, less than halfway down. Actually, basic netiquette woukd have you using the forum search, but hey, what do I know?

=\ Can't say I agree with this statement. As a head moderator for another forum, it's not expected that everyone knows forum etiquette right off the bat. Not everyone is a big forum goer. You can simply tell someone that they should check out the active topics page (or in this case, the "new posts") before creating a new topic or using the search function prior to posting. But many use the forums simply as a means to try communicating someone when they run into trouble (hence why when new content comes out, so many posts with the same basic topic come up in troubleshooting). I mean, do you recall when we got the announcement about house demolishing? There were at least a dozen topics made all saying "I think we should have more than 45 days". I could point out the PLD topics as well, however those usually have new topics because someone has a different idea to add to it.

Anywho, no need to fuel the fire here. It's simply just someone expressing their worry for their server. Honestly, today's the most I've seen other goblin posters showing up in the forums since I've been here (granted, I've only been here about 2 months). People could have easily just put a link to the other topic and told her there was a similar topic already created (and which is already dead, but this one isn't if I may point out). But this one's not dead due to people getting off topic and arguing about it...

Not to mention moneybags here who is on your server, but even if there's more people stating how the Goblin server is dying:

who doesn't have a sensitive bone in his body to see a player calling out the state of her server, but won't mind saying how much of a profit he's making, "If it helps me, It ain't broken" mentality.

It's clear I've offended you, I apologize. I should try to soften my comments a bit, but I usually try to keep things simple and to the point. Since tone is hard to convey in text, I know that simple and to the point can sometimes come off as curt and jerky instead, but that's not my intention.
I mentioned both battle content and the economy, not because I'm trying to brag about money, but because a failing economy or extreme difficulty finding other players is usually a sign of a server's collapse. I shared my personal experience, because I'm on the server being discussed and that personal experience is telling me that the server is healthy. This is a discussion forum and in this case, my contribution to the discussion is disagreement.

I would like to lay to rest the idea that we're a dying server. We're not. We may not be as big or as busy, but we're far from dying.

While most of the server is still alive its raid community is dying and it has been bleeding raiders which int the end will result in more and more players leaving the server.

With regards to Goblin: We're not big. We never have been. That's kind of a good thing because we have that small town community feel. However, many of us have found our social veins within the small community and because they're such a precious commodity, we don't really stray beyond it. The raiders know each other and generally seek each other out for things, gatherers for gatherers, crafters for crafters, even the few who enjoy PvP. This does effectively hit the PF hard, especially given that anyone you may not know may not be as capable as you'd need/expect. That's not an insult to anyone on Goblin, but that serves to say that everyone knows somebody who knows somebody, and when it comes to grouping up for content, we don't much stray outside of established social circles.
