Your Main Class - Which is it and Why?

We often have one class in particular that we stuck with throughout our time in Eorzea, be it because it felt more natural to play it, it reminded you of something in your life or you liked the design of it. Which one is it for you?

For me its Scholar, because I like using pre-damage mitigation, the buffer that fairy gives, and the way battles are different when you are a healer and have to pay more attention to everyone's health and debuffs while still being able to do damage in down time. I like how you get two fairies to adjust to different situations, and how Selene got haste and party esuna~ Having a fairy there is also reassuring, and it helped me learn my role, since this is my first MMO. I studied science for a lot of years, and scholar name and story is all about being inquisitive and learning about things as well as being strategic.

White Mage, because I dealt with bad healers.

White mage! Healer in real life (Hiiii healthcare!), healer in game. XD

Dark Knight, cause they're so cool and I love tanking. Prefer Warrior though. I wish I could be a Warrior with Dark Knight graphics.

Oh well. That's life.

Summoner, because I'm a sucker for pet classes and I'm used to damage over time spells since I've played a Warlock in World of Warcraft.

Machinist is a close second to being my main class alternative if I ever tired out of Summoner because I really love the feel and image of a gun class in a fantasy setting where guns are exotic.

Ninja, because Nin Nin! I play rogue classes in every game that lets me.
I also play a lot of warrior because I like playing in God mode.
My healer main is scholar, the proactive healing and dps uptime really appeals to me

Bard because I always play the archer role.

I kinda want to main Nin, since the Rogue/Thief class has always been my thing in games, but...oh good, it's so fast, buttons everywhere! T_T

Which is why I somehow always come back to MNK. It's quite fast as well, but I don't need to pay attention to as many things, so it's easier on the brain. Less thinking and more muscle memory if you will.

I main two classes. I play Astrologian for hard content because I really love healing, and I play Bard for casual content because I also enjoy it and gives me a little variety and break from constantly healing. I always gear my healer first though since the content requires it, but play Bard more. ^^

White Mage.

Tried maining SCH for a bit. Tried AST in raids. Keep coming back to WHM. It is just a very satisfying, very completely toolkit. On White Mage, I never wish I had more heals to handle a certain situation. Cure II is much better than Lustrate if you precast and I don't have to worry about stacks or cooldown timers limiting how much I can heal. I do have to watch MP, but as long as I'm picking the right tool for the right situation, it's actually not much of an issue.
