Your Main Class - Which is it and Why?

I primarily main Dragoon. Sure, watching speedruns of FFIV may have had an influence, but not a strong one. Plus, during Phase 2 of the ARR beta it was one of only three classes that were available. Also, I wanted a change of pace from what I had been playing in WoW for (at the time) six years. Yes, for years I mained Hunter and Paladin (with Balance Druid in Cataclysm, and the only reason I never mained Druid before was because I still don't like Tauren Druid forms). So I didn't want to play a Bard, and when they added Gladiator, well, I didn't want that because it reminded me too much of the Paladin I played (even though I was Retribution). Despite having among one of the more complex rotations, I still rather enjoy playing Dragoon. (I am starting to grow fonder of Ninja, though.)

Started out as a Paladin as that's what I used to play back in my WoW days till Wrath, after that I took a break from MMO's then came back to FF14 where I lvl'd as a Gladiator. I mained a Paladin in 2.0 and ended up raiding as one and getting my Zeta weapon was a lot of fun. When HW was released I rerolled Drk and started gearing that up and raiding as a Drk tank, however lately i'm playing a Dragoon more as I love the utility of Drg and seeing the pretty numbers pop up.

From 2.x up until Wanderer's Minuet, I was a Bard through and through. I loved the class, and playing it was like second nature.

When 3.0 came out, I said 'eff that noise,' and being the huge DRK fangirl from XI, I took up the mantle of DRK once again (lulemo). I'd say my main is probably DRK, but I have more fun on SCH and SMN.

bard due to played tanks for 4 years in my old game lost the love for them :P so prefer ranged attackers nows more fun xD

Bard

This was my original choice from the beginning and it's the role I enjoy playing the most.

Ever since I've entered end-game raiding, I've learned more about the bard and I've been enjoying more and more of it. It's really rewarding to me.

Summoner, even through the days of FFXI where devs didn't know where they wanted the job to fit in. If I had a dollar for every argument I had with idiots who never played the job, I'd be set for life.

BLM for me, I've always played mage jobs ever since I was a little kid playing D+D with dice and paper character sheets. As a result it was what I played in FFXI, I did get stuck on PLD for endgame content on that game but BLM was always my favourite class so that's what I mained in FFXIV. I still like PLD but once burned twice as shy they say so my PLD is now always that little bit too undergeared for serious content lol.

Ninja, ever since it came out. People call BRD and MCH the support DPS, but honestly NIN has got so much more subtle control during battle. Not to mention hella DPS if you actually know what you're doing. Take advantage of that speed bonus - get an extra hit in before getting out of that red circle, because the others can't run as fast as you.

I started during the ARR's celebration of its first year. I was originally going to play a summoner, out of a desire to always have played one in FFXI. My plan was to play as SCH to level up, and then switch to SMN for the end game. Despite never having played a healer in an MMO, I found out I really enjoyed the playstyle of the SCH, so I primarily played that until the end of ARR.

When DRK was announced, I knew I wanted to play it for HW, but I had always intended to continue to main SCH. Now my SCH is level 53, and my DRK is ilvl189. I enjoy tanking and I like the look of the Eso gear, so for now, it's where i spend my game time.

Bard. I've always played ranger type classes, so it was my first choice in this game. I like our utility and playstyle...and I like a lot of our armor.
