Your Main Class - Which is it and Why?

Mained PLD all the way through ARR. Although I played MNK quite a bit.

When 3.0 came out my group wanted me to go WAR so I ended up there. Played it an awful lot and really actually enjoyed it. However, I always seem to gravitate back to MNK. I study martial arts and exercise IRL so I guess I just gravitate there I guess.

MNK because NIN wasn't available at the start of ARR and I'm a sucker for martial arts classes.

Stuck w/ MNK for a couple reasons after NIN was released, main reason is I really enjoy the class but its also my raid class in our static and NIN wasn't a tank class like I hoped it would be. My FFXI roots are hard to shake

Tank, because waiting for queues is a waste of my time when I want to enjoy the game.

For raiding, and runs of things with my FC, dark knight is my main. We only had one full time tank before HW, so I was going to gear up WAR but discovered I really liked DRK more.

When I queue solo for things I tend to go summoner, as it's still my best geared class and my favorite of the dps classes.

I really like healing but in the speed run culture I feel like being under geared puts me at a disadvantage. So I usually only heal for FC things and even that's only if our usual healers aren't there for it.

Monk main from ARR Beta to present. I remember going through my first character creation deciding on which role to roll with and since I enjoy playing competitive fighting games wanted to pick the DD that fights with their bare hands. Soon realized the class uses gauntlets and claws but was still satisfied with the play style (more so now that we have emperor fist glam). Also was the most fast paced job at the time.

Have also enjoyed Scholar as my secondary ever since ARR release due to it's versatile play style. The other two healing styles were never engaging enough for me.

I play SMN as I've always enjoyed playing ranged and casting classes, and I find that BLM is a bit too slow for my likes. I also prefer the execution of a SMN rotation over that of a BLM.

In ARR I played mostly as a SCH, but also mained BRD, SMN, BLM, WHM and PLD at one point or another. I do enjoy mixing it up and in addition to ranged magic classes, I love healing as well.

Can I pick all three healers? Well, I'm between AST and SCH I guess, more-so the former. Pre-HW I was a SCH main because I like the shielding aspect and how you have to be pretty preemptive with it and time buffs/debuffs and shields right. With AST though, I like the card aspect to it, but it also feels very similar to WHM.

Conjurer/White Mage. I love their healing power and how they have a spell for every situation. In addition, healing fits my personality.

Started as a good old LOLgoon, I used to main PLD back in the day after dealing with many tank wipes in T5. ended up solo tanking it, then moved on to MNK for my fc static in second and final coil, still kept my PLD up to scratch tho, Now ive switched back to the goon after so long since not enjoying the new MNK abilitys and wanting something new, definitely enjoying being my DRG again, although I use a SCH as a close second and religiously play a warrior in PVP for...well.. i enjoy one hitting people ^.^
