You can't use diadem gear for glamour.

It still makes me scratch my head how or even why people clamour to make characters on the over filled ones as it is to the point you have to ninja your way in at like 3am or after service. I guess once your in your good but still, I used to be on Goblin myself but perhaps they will offer up either free transfers if it gets too low or even a merge. Though I can only assume the way to keep that would be to give extra wards and have your house be moved to the new ward, same plot.

So we can play with friends and guildies who are already established on said servers. It still makes me scratch my head how or even why people clamour to make characters on the over filled ones as it is to the point you have to ninja your way in at like 3am or after service. Unless you're patient/ lucky it's difficult to get in a very populated server like Gilgamesh/ Balmung when making a new character. As long as people pay $18 to transfer to servers low populated servers will always slowly lose players.
They need to make a free server transfer week like they did during 2.0; just make it so that populated servers are locked during that time

these are all such good ideas yet SE is to proud to ever admit to "servers dying" or listening to the community for advice.

Usually it takes time; it took an incredibly long time before they started doing server merges back in FFXI. To be honest it could use another downsize now; but on the plus side, they did take action (though a little on the late side).
