About the deep-colored crystals

Hi there.

So, yeah, I was wondering about these deep-colored crystals.

They seem to be "aspected to multiple elements", but we don't have any details about that, or at least I didn't find any. Actually, I thought the blue one was aspected to ice and water, but there are already Glacier crystals. (http://xivdb.com/item/10122/Glacier+Crystal)

So, what do you think everyone?

Aetherophysics are weird and ever-changing, even on SE's end. For instance, the Bronze Lake Crystal claims that it is "impossibly" aspected to more than one element, yet we have several other crystals that harbor a murky elemental charge. I now assume that it's just not a rigidly planned-out hard science on the dev. end and we should just try our best to work with what we're given, lol.

As for the Deep crystals, did you notice that they're Red / Green / Blue? Seems like a reference to the RGB & HEX colors used in the game, as if to say the values are shifty and unspecific but more or less "because it's vaguely such and such a color, it should thus be better for for X broad spectrum of aetherial wheels".

massive necro, but any1 actually knows what they're for? my airships/subs brought so much of it over the years, to this day i have no clue what to do with them, stumbled upon this thread by chance.

They are the sub-components for the Free Company Workshop crafting of aether wheels to generate Free Company buffs
For example:

Is in a material for the recipe of https://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/D..._Enchanted_Ink which is a material for Grade 2 wheels like https://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/G..._Confrontation which when charged on an Aetherial Wheel Stand housing item, will provide a 24 hour FC buff of The Heat of Battle II when activated
