Has anyone experienced any differences with the latest patch?
I've changed it back to DX11 to test, and it hasn't crashed yet. But I haven't played much either.

Just asked the same thing on the AMD forum..Testing tonight on msi R9 380, win10 (which have crashed in dx11 since june)
May not know for sure until the zones fill up again...especially if it is still related to the texture memory problems we've seen for a long time now.
i still crashed. I tested it.. from alt-tabbing or zoning to a different zone.
it was never like this since 3.1 man
I haven't crashe din a while, but I haven't gone back to farm Ramuh either (got my pony).
Still, /bump, just in case.
So I normally use NVidia graphics cards... I've been using a slightly outdated one but running DX11 just fine. However for a black Friday sale I got an AMD Radeon PCS+ R9 380, a bit of an upgrade from my last card (however I've never used AMD so I didn't know what to expect...). But now logging in would crash me with this error within 5 seconds, no fail. I tried everything I could think of, but running in DX9 has been the only solution I've found. And while that seems to fix the issue, occasionally the graphics will glitch... like once everything was a bright lime green, and once my character was invisible and my chocobo was missing his head... and that's while running DX9. (Although that seemed to happen only after I alt tabbed while zoning? maybe?)
Is this just an AMD thing? After I made the purchase I've had a ton of ppl told me I should've stuck to NVidia... /sigh. I really wish I could use DX11.
I discovered this problem today for the first time.
Last I logged in was yesterday morning, and the only thing that has changed since is that I have installed another game (Devilion). All my drivers are the same as before this error. But now, the SquareEnix logo freezes on screen and I have to CRTLAltDel to get out of it.
I have no idea how or why this happens, but it sure is frustrating... :/
Happened to me as well for few times.
Well alt+tabbing is still an issue for me. Anyone else. Just bumping it up
