Can we fix the map detection?

This is something that's starting to annoy me. Or maybe I just don't know how the map actually displays the other teams.

I'm seeing times where I get attacked out of no where on Seal Rock. The map showed no blips near me so I wasn't expecting to eat a Fire 3 or the Summoner combo. Heck just last game a summoner ran past 2 of my allies, right at me for the nuke combo. And the map didn't even show them until I was dead and they were running away(It was the 24 man Seal rock by the way).

Is this just really bad lag on my end or does the map blips work different from how I think it does. Which is: If anyone on your team can see them, they light up on the map. Big clashes also light up.

You only appear on the map if you are engaged in combat and a short while after before you disappear off radar again. It has nothing to do with whether or not you are visually seen by other players. Also the nin pvp ability malmsight can mark opponents on the mini map in their vicinity. And of course battle high/fever players are shown on mini map as well unless its a nin using hide.

Just know that you can be in combat if a party member is also in combat. However, you will not appear on the enemy list until either you or an opponent has made a "move" on each other (weapon skill, magic, status, etc).
