So they already aren't staying with just one MMO project currently, and 2 out of 3 of those games are Final Fantasy titles.

They also had a fourth MMORPG as well - Front Mission Online, but it was shutdown ages ago. And that also doesn't include Fantasy Earth Zero which SE developed on behalf of another publisher (which they then relinquished all control over), but that too was shut down, so I guess that doesn't really count.

Theres a private server for Fantasy Earth Zero now if you still wanna play it. Anyways I can see another MMO being released at some point. Even with years of MMO expirience, ff14 managed to have a rocky start at 1.0, a fun pace at 2.0, and a bit of slow cruise in 3.0. (in contrast to FFXI its still pretty darn good) THough I'm not completely sure the world is as it should be and maybe Yoshi sees it that way too, like all the instances and such. Before a new MMO comes out I'm sure one MMO would be pushed aside at some point or some devs moved to a new project, hopefully being a new and improved FF MMO. i would think, with the older style of mmos going out (not the p2p mode, thats doing just fine) squre would in the future do a more modern style mmo. with live action combat so to speak. they have the ability. and im fairly sure theyd get a VERY large crowd. and they DEFINITEly would not go f2p lol. for multiple reasons. one, as the history shows. pay to play, while, as the name states, requires payment, in the end, lasts longer, and is a far better investment. more free to play mmos have shut down, then ANY of the mmos that have used the p2p model. it wont happen soon, as ffxiv is still a very large source of income or them, but, it will likely happen.
