Please remove gathering from easy and Normal Diadem

While I agree a lot with what's being talked about here, I think perhaps the best fix for everyone.. would be to have seperate instances of the diadem via duty finder.

Q in as a gatherer, or q in as a battle class. Only allow members to switch their gathering class, take out monsters, take out the attunements and let everyone do their own thing.

Would take out all the issues, and give everyone what they want without the time alloted to wait for people to /maybe/ join your pf so you can q.

There are more effective places to get hardsilver, titanium, and Mythrite ore, the other ore is not even useful in anything that i've seen. The same fish in here can be caught outside safer, the chests they gather are not frequent enough to warrant wasting the time on them.

Have you even bothered to gather in Diadem? We get Steel Spoils from nodes at random and with some of the items we can buy with em sell at a very high price. For instance, I made 6 mil in one week......6. Mil. Btw just use PF for diadem and make the rules. The content is fairly new so it wont take long.

I see what SE envisioned, they wanted everyone to be included but we've proven 2 weeks in why we can't have nice things, because people are not responsible or respectful with or of other people's time.

Lol, this part amused me. The same could be said about you. Maybe you should be respectful of other peoples' time. And the same argument can be said about you in reference to battle gear. You can get i210 gear in other places outside Diadem. However, there are Diadem exclusive things everyone (gatherers and others) can get at Diadem and not outside Diadem. You are being one sided and saying that people that don't do what you want to do, which is battle, are being disrespectful of other peoples' time. That could be said the opposite way around. Going off to gather is not disrespecting anyone's time because gathering is a part of Diadem. The only way it would be disrespectful is if the gatherer joined a party that specifically said the party is only for battle, and no gatherers.

Stop whining. The only issue that needs to be addressed is letting someone roll on loot they didn't contribute on.

Not letting others roll on loot they didn't contribute to will only solve one problem, but it won't solve the problem of party not being able to get full contribution towards star mobs, or any mob being contested by other groups, because people are off gathering solo and pooping on the other 7.

No it's not. Sorry but that doesn't apply when gathering is an acceptable part of the experience. It's been said over and over if you want a full battle group party finder it. It's not that hard, stop projecting what you want on everyone especially in df.

I think the Diadem only needs two changes. 1) not allowing gatherers to roll on gear. 2) if someone (on their battle class) did not contribute then they don't get an option to roll on loot.

I think aggro should calculate contribution. I'm not suggesting people should have to get a large amount of aggro, just a small amount to show they were there, helping in some sort of way. By doing it by aggro, healers wont get punished if they need to save someone instead of hitting a mob(so they don't choose to let someone die in order to get loot), etc. Aggro doesn't count towards getting a chest, but again, I think it should be able to calculate if someone can roll on loot. None of my suggestions are out of spite. I only want a better experience.

The problem is with the system. If enough people stop to gather, the battle classes likely won't have the dps to get credit for high ranking mobs. Heck, I had a group yesterday that missed out on a star rank since we were short one dps (our dragoon dc'd 10 minutes in and never came back). That means that too many people gathering (or going afk/dc/slacking/etc but thats a different issue) could result in a situation where the people that can't or don't want to gather being unable to actually get credit for big kills. One group's wishes can stop the other from doing what they want to, and it goes both ways. That shouldn't be the case. The two groups should be working together, not against each other.

I'm not sure what the solution is, but the current system seems a bit flawed. Making it so gathering loot goes only to gatherers and battle loot goes only to battle classes would definitely help, I think.

I feel like the best solution is to have a Gathering option for parties, and a Battle option. Then people can more easily form Battle or Gathering parties.
